Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We loved everything about this property. The property itself is gorgeous. Our room was spacious with beautiful ornate ceilings and a fully renovated bath with lots of natural light and bath and shower. The property was quiet at night and had an elevator for luggage and a common terrace area for those who want to sit outside for an aperitivo. Andrea, the owner, was so helpful and friendly. He gave us good advice about what to see and do in and around the city. He goes above and beyond in providing quality breakfast including fresh pastries and great coffee. The location could not be better with the Duomo literally around the corner. A 10 minute walk from the train station. This was our favourite property during our time in Italy. Thank you, Andrea, for a memorable experience.

Great location combined with a fabulous room makes this a winner! Our room had a very comfortable huge (Super King) bed, fabulous shower, all the outlets anyone could want, and was super clean. The breakfasts were delicious and bountiful, with homemade pastries being very special. The owner has renovated his property to have modern conveniences and furnishings before opening. The owner was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. He gave very helpful suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. He recommended a great neighborhood restaurant in Florence and also in Venice, the next place we were visiting. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Florence.

United StatesAndrea was a great host to us! His B&B is in an ideal location central to Florence. He’s a local and will give you great advice on local places to eat and things to see. Make sure to wake up early to see the city since Florence right now is a zoo with tourists. If you like dogs, you’ll love his Lola. Thank you again Andrea for your warm hospitality and care for your guests! Cheers! Marko&Natalia

We would give Andrea (the host) 14 out of 10. What a treat. He sent us to fabulous restaurants (Zio Gigis-Florentine steak,Yellow Bar-pizza and to die for tagliolini cacio e Pepe). He kept us giggling the entire time. Very knowledgeable about not only about Florence but Venice & Verona. Gracie Mille Andrea, we will never forget you.

Amazing location - steps away from the sights we wanted to see but in the area where Fiorentinos live and eat. The host was above and beyond. If we come to Florence again, we will definitely want to stay at La Casa de Ghiberti. The only thing, it is probable the first choice for many people, so will make reservations way in advance.

United KingdomAs a B&B they're unable to offer any cooked breakfast, which isn't the host's fault!! But what was there was great, right down to the homemade cakes!
Everything was great about La Casa del Ghiberti, the location was only 200m from the Duomo, but felt like it was secluded and completely away from crowds. The hotel was small but perfect, great rooms, lovely atmosphere. The host, Andrea, was amazing. Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and couldn't have been more helpful and honest. Oh, and Lola was great too ;)

AustraliaHighly recommend. The location was amazing and an amazing host. He made our stay in florence very special and even more magical. The host assisted us with bookings and went the extra mile with getting it sorted and ensuring we had a great time. The room was well sized and suited us perfectly. Having a bath was a welcome item after days seeing florence and surroundings. Plus we got the added benefit of getting Miss Lola welcoming us in the morning. As well as being a great venue, it was in a great location being right near duormo, we were in walking distance to everywhere and allowed us some early morning strolls to key locations while avoiding the crowds.

AustraliaOur host Andrea went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable visit to Florence. He recommended and booked local restaurants and day trips. Breakfast was generous and always served as per our time request. The rooms were lovely and the bed very comfortable. The B and B is in a central location and we walked everywhere. La Casa del Ghiberti is a B and B I would come back to and also recommend to friends and family.

Owner Andrea is going beyond and above to help and answer questions, he booked our tours and rebooked when some dates were changed. Breakfast is delicious! We didn't want to go home! Wonderful location just two minutes walk from the cathedral. It’s easy to miss if you’re looking for it on your own, but Andrea was a great help in advance, keeping in contact to check we were on our way ok. Once there, the B&B is immaculately clean, generously sized room and bathroom with everything you need and great breakfasts - you’ve got to try the pastries! Andrea is also a fountain of knowledge for local places to eat and how to make the most of your visit, an impeccable host!
