One of the four rooms just by the road, so much noisy, can not sleep well. No breakfast. It is very hard to carry the big luggage to clime up so many steps to the rooms.

Such nice experience to spend 3 days in this house! Taormina is already beautiful enough, but tovimar apartment just add something more to it! The apartment is clean and well equiped, and this makes me feel just like home. Thanks to the soft bed I could always take a rest after an exhausting day. From the balcony I have a direct view of the sea and the bay. The sound made by the wave slapping the beach is the best background music when I relax on the balcony. Also I want to emphasize the location of this apartment. It's so convenient, 1 minute walk from the cable car station, with which I can go to the upper town of Taormina to have dinner in countless restaurants. THE MOST IMPORTANT! Host of this apartment is so nice, friendly, and respectful. He's just like your trustful elder family member who is always ready to help and always comes with a warm smile. As I left the apartment, I left my glasses there. I was afraid that it might not be found, but the host found it, with patience. And even though it's something extra to do for him, he still send the glasses to Germany, to me. And it's well protected in bubble paper. That's so nice and kind of him. I don't know how to express my appreciation. So, I sincerely recommend tovimar apartment!

Not well maintened, shower is loose and pours towards the wall, it licks from the bottom of the base so water drips and slightly floody on the floor. For the price charged it should be perefctly maintained. Also atleast shower gel/soap, drinking water, refreshments and coffee/tea would be nice. But as mentioned terrace and view was the best part of this apartment.

water dripping from our ceiling in bedroom 1. all through the night. corkscrew broke. one wine glass. toilet had poor flushing mechanism. shower head didn’t fit into neck and when turned on, water didn’t flow through all spouts. very old/dated and in desperate need of a modern refresh. without the view, this apartment is very bad. host was a nice honest man but a bit sarcastic / unhappy when we met him

Unfortunately the apartment needs a good repair, all the doors are creaky, as are the stairs leading to the 2nd floor. The bathroom door doesn't lock! It is impossible to make a tea on the hob (there is no electric kettle). All dishes must be connected to a "conductor" on the induction hob. I had to wait for the water to boil at around 50 minutes. So all the possibilities were made so that there is no cooking in the apartment. I didn't like that the owner started the washing machine when we arrived. After which he returned in the apartment to take the bleach (after our check-in). It was a bit disturbing. Instead of going to town, we should have waited for him.

I stayed in Taormina for 2 days. The location saved the entire apartment! Very beautiful view to the sea and very close to the beach! In front of the apartment is Isola Bella.

The apartament has a terrace overlooking the bay, but it’s directly above a very busy coastal road. Sitting on the terrace is not remotely relaxing due to the constant traffic noise - you can’t hear yourself think let alone have a conversation. Even with windows closed, the traffic noise will wake you early in the morning. To make matters worse, the owner’s dog barks from the balcony above, every time you move around the terrace.

Close to beach and cable car. Effective aircon and comfy beds. Nice bathroom. The view from the terrace is nice.

The communication with the host was somewhat awkward for arrival coordination and when we lost power. Could have been cleaner. A lot of stairs to get to apt.

It had a nice balcony with a view of the beach. The apt was well furnished and had most amenities. Paid parking is close to the apt.

There were 71 stairs to climb. no where did the owner make note of this. in his ad he states a “flight” of stairs. my daughter has severe vision problems. I would not have booked here had I known. There were ants at the property in the kitchen, bathroom and in our rooms. No water in the fridge upon arrival. most hosts provided one bottle for us. No salt or oil for cooking.

The pictures that are available on booking.com are very misleading! This is place is nothing like what the pictures suggest. It was a mouldy and dingy accommodation (see the pictures), right on the main road (the downstairs bed was about 3 metres from the actual cars on the road). None of the bedrooms have windows. The Wi-Fi did not work in the cellar-like dingy and mouldy downstairs bedroom. It actually smells really bad, and I am not sure that it is good for your health to stay in such a room for a long period. We ran out of hot water as it only has a very small electric hot water tank, so half the family could not shower the first night. We asked for a map of the surrounding area from the owner, who promised that we will have it in ten minutes. The map never arrived. We were very disappointed with booking.com during our current trip as the descriptions on booking.com were completely misleading for 2 out of the four places we booked. May be it's the region, but we never experienced this before booking trips in Europe, Asia, the US and also New Zealand with them.....

Dated, worn, and beds were very old. You’ll get a workout getting your luggage up to the apartment, holy stairs!

Good place for the money, just understand what you are renting it for. You are renting a balcony with a view of the Ionian Sea and proximity to the beach, it just happens to have bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom attached. Understand the apartment is gonna be dated, beds uncomfortable, towels worn out, etc. It’s a balcony with a fantastic view. That being said, we spent every evening on the balcony thoroughly enjoying the view. AC worked great.
