How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Weired smell in the hallway once you leave your room ....
Stayed in this hotel for two nights with a friend. Upon arrival we were welcomed and given all essential information about our stay including parking (which was about 200m away). To our surprise our room was already available despite the very early arrival. The room is not too spacious but your aren't in Lignano for the hotel room, right? ;) The beach is right across the street and can be reached in two minutes. The hotel even offers a "beach lunch" you get it delivered right at your deck chairs on the beach - awesome! Breakfast includes everything you would expect - perfect! Special thank you to the lovely and very helpful staff at the reception and bar :) would love to stay at this hotel again!

The hotel has perfect location, very kind personel, nice breakfast - fresh fruits and vegetables, plant based milk, eggs and bacon. I love the free bike rental and possiblity to keep the lugage in the hotel lobby even after check out. The free parking place (not at hotel place, but in a walking distance) is an advantage. We also used the upgrade to the free beach umbrella, to stay closed to the sea -absolutelly worth of it. I love to recommend the hotel to anybody. And I will gladly come again. Great also for short vacation.

While there's nothing particularly wrong, I would have enjoyed my stay more if: - there was a proper reading light at the bed's head (the small lamp is not really suited for reading) - there was a water boiler in the room The breakfast matches the price, but I would be ready to pay a bit more to taste some of the regional products.
The location is perfect - two steps to a beautiful beach, not far away from the pedestrians zone and the city center. Olympic swimming pool in the area. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly. Excellent quality/price ratio.

Receptionist was not willing to give us a sunbed for the 3rd day as a gratis. In every other hotel they did give us a sunbed for free.

The bed in our room was a bit squeaky.
The location is excellent and right by the sea. It is also a short walk to the center of town, though the shopping street is a little futher away. The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the coffee service very good. We requested covered parking and they took care this easily. Also, there was an issue with the room refridgerator but, the staff sorted that out pretty quickly. The room always smelled nice.

Very poor wi-fi. Nothing else worth mentioning.
Very good staff that fluently speaks english, willing to share info. Very clean room and premises, nice breakfast from 8 to 12! Sunbed and bicycle included in the price.

The room is pretty small, but OK for a hotel. Parking is 300m from the hotel.

it is a decent hotel, bur the rooms are not too big and the hotel does not have too much. The reception closes at 10 pm. The parking is 10 minute walk at an open air location under trees.
The breakfast is pretty good and the person at the restaurant was very helpful with all arrangements. The location is right by the beach and they give you a place under umbrella and chaise long at the beach. The beach is beautiful and well organized... But too crowded for my taste.

We didn't have balcony so the room had very little light, room is quite small and there was no place to hang anything from the beach to dry, there is parking to unload outside but often there are cars parked there and staff doesn't tell them to move it out, this is also a dog friendly hotel and due to that some dogs were making quite a lot of noise because their owners left them alone.
Location is very good, parking is not close by but is secure so that was also a bonus, breakfast was very good and staff is very nice and friendly.

At the breakfast there are still no vegan options and allergies are not written next to the food. Everything else is great

This was the second time we booked this hotel, and we still love it. Very clean, perfect location and the staff is the nicest most helpful people always. They always smile and help with anything you’d need. Breakfast was also good!
