How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was a bit too small to be comfortable, and the shower wasn't quite hot enough. Both very minor issues though!
Very nice modern hotel and you can walk everywhere from here!

Unlike the fabulous service we received on arrival at the hotel, breakfast was quite a contrast. Quite low tables, which made it awkward, and also there wasn't enough seating for the number of guests staying in the hotel so it was a bit of a scramble to find a table. It felt quite disorganised and the staff were flustered and not particularly friendly. Food was unmemorable. Maybe a one off but we'd probably book room only if staying there again.
A fabulous hotel - our room was amazing! Very comfortable and immaculately clean - all fixtures and fittings to a very high standard and our room was really spacious too. The reception service was warm and welcoming. In the heart of the government district so really quiet at the weekend which we liked, and was easy to walk down into the city. Would definitely recommend, it was a lovely stay.

It's not a big deal but the iron wasn't available.

The bathroom is transparent so your partner can see you using the toilet
The staff was very good, they let us stay for late check out when we asked and was very informative. The breakfast is pretty basic.

Beds and especially the pillows were a little bit too hard for me, but the others in my group had no problems.
The service from the hotel receptionist Oana and the location. On arrival we got a great welcome and during the entire stay she helped us perfectly. The rooms are really clean and overall great for the price.

The location was just 10-15 min walk from the central station and 15-25 min walk from the major sights. Hotel room was amazingly beautiful and comfortable. Espresso Machine in the room is a big plus. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful, very charming.

The hotel is very well located. The Spanish steps and Trevi fountain are just a few minutes walk away. You can even walk to the Vatican City which took us about 30 minutes. Oana was a really fantastic hostess and gave us a list of great places to eat which was so helpful and they allowed us to have a later check out. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is perfectly located, close to the main tourist sites without being in a noisy street. Charming, modern and all equipped. The staff is speaking English and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious. For sure, I will come back.

the wifi is dreadful! unless one is sitting inside the breakfast/common room, most websites are timing out. My room was right next to the breakfast room, but I still could not use the wifi in my room and had to create a hotspot with my mobile for all I needed to do. (I am not sure, if this is a Rome-problem, or a hotel-problem.) Another point: the hotel does definitely NOT have a 24h-desk (maybe that's just a temporary COVID-legacy!?), but for travellers that rely on 24h desks, it should really not be advertised as such.
The rooms were super, and the staff is super-friendly and helpful.

Staff was amazing. we were greeted kindly. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. We got upgraded to a bigger room which was wonderful, everything was brand new, very good amenities. Will stay again for sure.

Location, great to walk to all the sights but still a little away from the hustle and bustle. Very clean throughout, room was lovely. Staff are so helpful especially Oana who is a credit to the hotel. Extremely helpful and proactive. Always available to assist. Provided us knowledge of places to visit that a regular visitor wouldn’t know about. Made reservations for us at restaurants and gave us recommendations. Really couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

wifi was glitching :(
amazingly nice room, we even got an upgrade!! netflix available, small but nice breakfast and EXTREMELY kind staff. we were given some recommendations which restaurants to visit! there are lots of feedback about shower being uncomfortable to use but it is soooo not true, all is just great! definitely will come back.

Stylish, small hotel in a good location to visit Rome - bus and metro stops only few minutes walk away. It was very nice that we got an upgrade and a small breakfast (coffee and tasty cake) on the house! Would highly recommend and book again
