Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumNice and clean facilities. Easy to reach and parking at your door. Perfect place to visit Cefalu or Palermo. Very friendly staff. The flat is a bit outdated but it is spacious, very clean, good bed and shower and stunning views. We didn’t use the facilities and didn’t eat at the restaurant, so no comment about it. I would certainly come back and recommend it fora short stay.

LatviaThere was no Wi-Fi in the apartment and the staff didn’t speak English almost at all, but we managed to understand each other anyway.
We stayed in one of the apartments and it was perfect for our family- it had a place to cook, two separate bedrooms and a huge balcony with an amazing view to the sea. There also was a reserved parking spot just by the entrance in the apartment. Pool was perfect for children as it wasn’t too deep (but deep enough for adults to swim as well) and a playground was right next to it.

LatviaWe booked economy double room. The booking confirmation says that it includes 1 twin bed and 1 sofa bed and 1 queen bed. We were first shown a room with 2 big beds and no sofa. After my request we were put in bigger room with 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. I'm not even sure if thy have a room with these 3 beds as described in booking confirmation. The hotel was a little worn out. It needs some renovation. It is nice that they have a playroom for kids, but all the toys were broken there.
Loved that the pool was still opened in late September. Location is really nice. We took a lovely evening walk down to the town and went on a beach. It took as like 20 minutes to walk with a toddler. Stuff was really helpful and tried their best even if their English was limited sometimes.

Swedenbe aware that the beaches are stone beaches, but with spectacular clear and warm water.
we were here for five days in July 2022 as a family with two kids (aged 14 and 12). we enjoyed very much the large apartment with two separate bedrooms, the nice and clean pool, the atmosphere of the little village of Tusa and the walking distance to the beach. During two days bathing in the sea was forbidden due to large winds, but the waves were spectacular. Mainly Italian guests, most staff has sufficient knowledge of English (even some French and German).

LatviaThe WiFi didn't work. We went from train station to the hotel by feet and the hotel is on a mountaintop, so it was challenging. The breakfast could have a bigger option of meats and less sweets.
The apartment was huge for 2 people. There was a pool and a nice chilling zone. It's quite close to the beach, train station and the center of city. The view is very nice from the apartment.

GermanyOnly many minor inconveniences: -WiFi signal is very bad, if it works at all, and the connection is slow (wifi-repeaters might help) -balcony has very uncomfortable metal chairs (loungers would help) -kitchen could be equipped better (no scissors, no cutting knives) -no instruction/manual/information sheet with hints on how to use stove/how to get rid of garbage/internet/supermarket/beaches/dinner times/restaurants/train station, etc. -music at the pool can be very loud -no clue on how the private beach works (we were charged in one of eight days)
Many HUGE plus points: -very clean rooms -big appartment -huge balcony with panoramic view -nicely equipped bathroom (with washing machine) -good functioning AC -comfortable beds -private beach was very quiet -very nice staff (we had to leave one day early and got a discount)

United StatesStaff not courteous nor helpful. Food , especially breakfast was awful. The fruit was sour. We had to try and get someone’s attention to get coffee. We ask three times for a cup of coffee. The breakfast was not included, that was fine, but we were also charged a service fee , when there was no service. The shower leaked which made for a dangerous slippery fall situation. The constant loud noise though out the evening made it impossible to sleep.

SloveniaOn booking the price for the hotel is much higher than others in the neighbourhood. On booking they offer internal pool open all season, so we acepted the price, for that extra service. We could use the pool only for an hour and they charged us ekstra with a price, that we would pay for family daily tickets in a waterpark. In reality they had only 3x5m pool and a dirty jacuzzi :-(
Nice location.
