How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

On the outskirts of the city centre but bus stop a short five minute walk from hotel. Thirty minute bus ride into centre of Florence.
Beautiful small hotel. Lovely friendly staff. Gorgeous outdoor terrace. Very clean and beautifully maintained in all areas. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast could offer more fruits. Juice was not natural. This bothered me a lot since it is italy and this should be affordable

Too far away from the center (~40min walk). Transportation to and from is hard to get, with little to no nearby good restaurants offer. People at the front desk were absent at all times (check-in, during our stay, and check-out). Room was very tiny, particularly the bathroom.
Nice and refurbished room and facilities in a old picturesque house. Good standard breakfast.

We did not appreciate the external bathroom! We accidentally booked a wrong room without ensuite. This is not the hotels fault, but while making the booking, we didn’t notice that the room had an external private bathroom. This was most unconvenient, so be careful not to book the wrong room type, as we did :)
Very cosy little hotel in a beautiful neighbourhood. Very nice staff, the lady in the frontdesk was most polite and helpful. Location is a bit out of the city center, but the neighbourhood is quiet and close to bus stations, city center is a 30-minute walk, which is essential after all that pasta and tagliata, you’re going to eat in Firenze. The outdoor lounge area was amazing and open even off-season for enyoing nice weather.

No mineral/purified water in the room, only purchasable from the minibar, considering the price of the room it is not too generous. Sound isolation could be better.
Room with a beatiful view to the garden in a peaceful and stylish neighbourhood, pleasant interior design and delicious fresh breakfasts.

It was really nice and cozy hotel. Hotel staff gave in advance detailed instructions how to get there and it was very easy. Breakfast was amazing too. Bust stop was in 2 minute walking and you could get directly to city center

The location of the property is a 20min drive (with traffic) into the central part of Florence. Everything was well thought out and it extended also to all amenities in this property. Parking was a short 300m away and we loved the challenge of fitting our 9-seater van into the tight space. Breakfast was amazing and Joy, who served us, was a delight! We loved our time here.

Not really a problem but car parking is not on-site. Only about a 5 minute walk. The area is safe so didn't feel vulnerable when walking around.
This was a surprise when we arrived. A very nice hotel. The lady at reception was extremely helpful regarding the restaurants and actually rang the restaurant and booked our table. Highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The property was in really good condition. It was so clean and so comfortable. We really enjoyed our trip. They helped us about the city tour maps. And breakfast was brilliant. You should reserve parking in advance because they have a really small one and it costs 20 euro per day!! The breakfast was good but I expected better.
