How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

room didn’t have a proper window (only a small one at the ceiling) which made it quite hot and no air. Aircons were forbidden by law - however the owners are doing something about it which is great!
Great service, great location - would recommend it for a city trip!

Gorgeous hotel with the best service - special thanks to Luciano who went over and above to make sure we had an excellent stay. Amazing bakeries with glorious bakes right outside and right round the corner. I cannot rave enough about it!

We felt like home in this hotel due to very friendly and cheerful people of Vico Milano. Our room was super clean, comfortable and stylish moreover, its location is excellent, only 10-15 mins to the heart of Milan on foot.

a bit pricey
super decoration well located close to Naviglie for drinks and to the duomo for sightseeing and shopping if you are ok with walking. lovely staff who made us an upgrade because it was our honeymoon

Absolutely perfect spot from which to explore Milan. Room was beautiful and spacious, staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make me feel at home, and there were so many small touches that made this hotel wonderful. Couldn’t recommend more.

The only Down side was they switch off the cooling air conditioning for the winter period, we were here in March and it was surprisingly warm and muggy, so the room was quite hot and stuffy and we they couldn’t turn on any cooling system. But didn’t ruin the stay was just a factor.
beautiful modern boutique hotel!! such a good location that it was an easy walk into town but not too busy in the ‘hustle and bustle’. staff were amazing and so so accommodating to our every need. room was always impeccable and just an all round beautiful place

We were travelling with our toddler and unfortunately the bars of the railings in the upstairs (sleeping) area were spaced out too far apart. A crawling baby or small child can fall straight through the gaps and onto the stairwell. This is something the hotel should keep in mind for future reference and visitors - a different room should be allocated in case of a small baby/child accompanying adults.
Very stylish boutique hotel based in the centre of Milan. Extremely comfortable and luxurious rooms and a lovely area downstairs to enjoy a fabulous continental breakfast or a few drinks in the evening.

Our stay at the Vico Milano was a memorable experience. As soon as you enter, you notice the personal attention to detail and design by Neri around every corner. It only has seven suites; thus it gives you a since of intimacy and exclusivity while nestled in the heart of Milan. The multilevel rooms are spacious and welcoming. The expansive bathroom is an oasis escape from a busy day exploring Milan. It is a hidden gem that won't stay hidden for long!

We had a fantastic stay at Vico in Milan. The hotel is super cosy and it has been very nicely designed. The staff looked after us extremely well and they helped us to their full extent to make our stay the best. We really felt at home and we look forward visiting Vico again.

this was my second stay at vico, and this time even better than the last! we loved being walking distance to almost everything. loved having a fresh healthy breakfast and a green juice- will be back for sure. room was stylish and spacious.

Fantastic location, beautiful decor, and welcoming staff. The downstairs area is beautifully designed and is a nice place to relax and have a drink. The room was comfortable with a cozy canopy bed and a spacious bathroom.

This newly opened hotel is a true gem in the heart of Milan. Set in a quiet courtyard just off the lovely Corso Genova (in between Navigli and the Duomo), the hotel is a gem of design and elegance with incredible attention to details. Perfect for work trips but also for a romantic weekend. Honestly, couldn’t recommend this more! Owners also have a sister property in Tuscany which seems worth a visit too..

I am so pleased to have finally found a chic, luxurious boutique hotel in Milan. this property is stunning, from the teak wood flooring to the marble bar and the stunning tiled bathrooms- no detail has been missed. As a design enthusiast, I was thrilled to find unique design pieces throughout the property. They have not compromised on quality. Location is just fantastic with the duomo in walking distance and a number of delicious restaurants next door. Staying at Vico felt like experiencing the city like a local! The room was extremely comfortable and the mattress was fantastic. will surely be back to enjoy a longer stay and another delicious breakfast!

The area for us was not what we expected, but we should have asked friends of ours who live in Milan. The food and interior compensated.
we usually stay in the Brera so wanted to try something different. we liked the interiors. The bedroom was a little clumsy over two floors, but the interiors were lovely aesthetically.
