Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaBeautiful landscape! Perfect and clean pool. If you go to see those busy places in Amalfi area, and want to recover, this place in good option to stay and relax. Nice food at the restaurant (recommend dinner witch nice bottle of Rose). Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, even offer to drive as to train station. From there its fast and easy to reach Vesuvio, Pompei, Naples, or Sorento and all Amalfi region.

AustraliaProbably the only negative is the drive up. It’s pretty steep and winding, especially in a big car like ours.
The view from the balconies was stunning. The pool area and the restaurant were excellent but what made it really special was the staff. They were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10

RomaniaFirst of all, I want to mention that this is our first vacation of this kind, on the Amalfi Coast. Everything was more than perfect and we were more than impressed. The complex is located at the foot of the mountains and gives you the feeling that you are in an old Italian movie like The Godfather and you are left speechless. The complex has 2 swimming pools and a huge garden on several levels. The location is more than perfect! The staff, wow! It's the first time we meet people we could call "our family". So generous and good at heart that you are shocked because it is something very rare! The food is more than excellent and we recommend using the hotel's "private transport" to their restaurant which overlooks the city of Naples and Cava de' Tirreni. The rooms are big, spacious! This location is perfect for families with children, but also for couples. These people, these friends, this family is the result of Italian kindness and hospitality and we are impatient to come back next year! Alex, Florian and Suzana Tone

IcelandIt is a popular venue as it is beautiful, and we wanted to relax and escape people, but there where two parties during our stay and a lot of people. When we got out to our car the next day the guest from the party had turned off cigarettes on our car and put the cigarette buds/trash on our car, it could be nice to separate parking spots for hotel guest and party guest to avoid this. It would be more relaxing if there where some soundproof doors or just some carpet on the tile steps of the stairs (so noisy when people walk with flip flops). The road to the hotel is a bit tricky.
This place was a beautiful hotel, with two swimming pools, one big one and a more secluded one in an olive garden - beautiful! I have to give many compliments to the staff, everyone was so professional and very kind. Especially a guy (perhaps the owner) he was so attentive and could see what we were missing before we noticed it. And really nice breakfast and dinner! The room had an incredible view towards the mountains and the city (as the hotel was on top of a mountain) and we saw such beautiful thunderstorms both nights.

ItalyIt seemed to function more as the local “party/reception” venue - maybe we were so lucky enough to catch those parties on Sun and on Mon. However, we were not advised from its management during the booking stage that we may have to expect quite loud noise from its dining halls as well as the outdoor pool area, not to mention lack of parking spot. Also, our room was right above its kitchen area, creating a full of food smell coming through our windows while we wanted to have some fresh mountain scent. Rooms are quite out-dated but functions fine, except for the door knobs and hinges require some maintenance. Please notify your booking guests in case they need to experience any “event” organized to be held until 2am, Tuesday. :)
In brief, the hotel/villa is located on “top” of the mountain and you need to drive up till the end of the road, more or less. Therefore, it provides you with very good quality of breeze and air, as ling as there goes no outdoor event at this accommodation. The staffs, especially the main female receptionist, were superbly attentive and welcoming, which was the BEST part of our two-night staying here.

United KingdomThe most expensive hotel we stayed in out of 13 hotels in Italy, including the Amalfi coast! Can't understand why this hotel is so expensive as it was also the most dated, very old fashioned decor and far up a mountain with nothing in walking distance (we knew in advance) but price definitely not justified. Rated 4 star but in the UK would be a 3 start at very best. Certainly not a 4 star hotel.
Cleanliness great. Large rooms. Comfortable bed.
