The style of the house immediately leaves a great eclectic impression of classical life combined with modern arts & crafts. The surrounding garden on several terraces are filled with all kinds of plants ranging from roses to cacti. The hosts are warm and welcome and and were happy to go out of their way to accommodate our wishes and answer our questions. The included breakfast is way more than the coffee and pastry but always included these elements. Special feature is that you can acquire design and craft elements that are in and around the house as a souvenir of the experience.

My husband would prefer breakfast earlier than at 9am.

The house is real gem for art people with all its furnishing, a window view and surronding garden. With a delicate accent in each room from the lamp on the main staircase, an old map book in the living room (in which my hudband discovered Poson - Slovak capital), marvellous canvas on walls, exquisite chandeliers in a bathroom, delicate pieces of jewelry ( by Ariela) on display in a guests' room to a daily changed tableware for breakfast served on the patio in a pleasant shade, it wins every guest's heart. Gracious Ariela has a gift to recognize her guests' taste and charmingly offers a hand. She advised us and got Manjelo to book a table for us in a nice restaurant, recommended a suitable beach and intersting places to visit in Livorno. We wish we had stayed longer and could get to know Ariela and her husbsnd better. Anezka and Vlado

Villa Cassuto is a unique charming place with it’s own very charming special charme and wonderful host. She’s a woman of the world with so much good energy she shares with her guests. Ariela immediatly makes you feel special and welcomed. The Villa is something so special it’s hard to describe this uniqueness. With her as an designer the house is artsy, sofisticated, intelectual, beautiful and homy. It’s magical. Our stay was magical. We loved it here and we fell in love with our wonderful host Ariela. It was very windy during the night, probably due to the location close to the sea. We were told that it was an exceptional wind.

This Villa is absolutely fascinating, with its unique decoration, mixing traditional antiques with contemporary pieces of art. If you are looking for a random and anonymous hotel room, you probably better go some place else. The owner is a lovely Lady we wish we had more time to chat with, which was easy because she speaks many languages! The employee was completely devoted to help solve a hot water issue (which he did), and prepared us a wonderful breakfast with home made jelly made with grapes from the garden.
