As it's an older building, you can hear the other guests walking around, entering/exiting their rooms, and talking in their rooms. Also, note that there are two triple rooms, both advertised as having sea and mountain views. Unfortunately, one of the rooms has only one small window with no view - this not clear at all from the description, and we found this out only after entering the room.

The location of the hotel is ideal, just a short drive from the Rifugio Giovanni Sapienza, where you can find the cable car and the starting point of many of the Etna tours. We were also given advice about some very nice hiking routes that we could take on our own. The surroundings are quiet, and there is a restaurant on site that serves a good breakfast.

The location is in a quiet area really nearby Etna summit assumption. Our room was nice and cosy with view on the mountain. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The chef is a dedicated person that prepares amazing and fresh food!!!

I could say the bathroom and in particular the shower is a bit small, and so are the stairs to go up. But as said it is a basic accommodation and it offers great value for money. And why would you need a swimming pool or sauna if you are on the Etna?

This is a great basic, yet still stylish accommodation for trips around the Etna. In summer it must be very relaxing to escape the heat of the coast. No need to go out at night as the dinner here is great too!

Great location just a few minutes drive from the cable car. Super-friendly and super-helpful staff. We requested a vegetarian meal, expecting just a bowl of pasta, and were treated to a personalised 3-course feast of some of the best food we have had in Sicily.

Our only small criticism is that the staff were 10 minutes late with our packed breakfasts on the day of our mountain excursion. But the packed meals were good quality and we enjoyed them very much on our hike :-)

Perfect location for exploring Mount Etna. Hotel has an old-world charm and the rooms are enormous. Nothing impersonal about a smaller establishment like this. Easy to access the property by car, with free parking on-site. We had a lovely dinner at the hotel, as there is not much else in the vicinity. The staff accommodated our early departure and provide a packed breakfast.

The hotel was not crowded so we got a nice upgrade of our room. The personnel was very attentive and kind all around, but the best experience was the dinner - you can choose a la carte or even off-the-menu customized dishes.

Stunning place, really special stay. We felt like we were staying in a Wed Anderson movie set. Old but fresh at the same time :) The staff was really friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was great as well!

We found the pillows a bit hard. This is the only thing I would improve.

I did like everything in the hotel. An elegant disign of the hotel, friendly stuff members, cosy room, bathroom is shining with cleaness. The most incredible thing is the feeling that we found ourselves in a forest fairy tale. The location is simply excellent, complete unification with nature combined with modern comfort.
