We drove through the town to the hotel and it is a very steep and twisty journey. Parking at hotel is expensive.

Fantastic view. The hotel is very nice decorated and very well located for a hike down to Taormina or a hike up to CastleMola. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They knew it was my husband's birthday the day after we arrived, and in the morning they surprised him with a cake and a glass of prosecco. The dinner was superb and the breakfast excellent as well. We would have loved to stay another day.

Only thing is when you want to use the pool, the sundeck is separated from the pool.

The view from the hotel is one of the best I've seen in Sicily. The room was quite large and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was also nice and the staff were great. Also the shuttle service to the city works really well.

In spite of the marvellous views, the hotel stays in a very high area, so in order to get to the city centre you have to go by car. The hotel offers a great shutlle service, but the schedulle is very limited. The swimming pool...is small, in a separate building, has a poor sunshine expose and the lounge area isn t great.

Everything else!!! The room, the terrace, the restaurant, the excelent good taste, the details, the staff- Daniele is impecable, grazie- and the owner.

The pool was over the road and you had to go down the hill to lie on sunchairs. But obviously not a major deal.

The view from this gorgeous boutique hotel has to be the best in Taormina. Almost at the top of the rock, near to Castelmola, pick the right room and you will have the view of a lifetime. The hotel is beautifully decorated in rustic boutique style and the staff are helpful and welcoming. The free shuttle bus was great.

Reserved a table more than one week in advance and asked for a nice view (actually visiting its restaurant was one of the reason we chosen Hotel Ducale). The hotel wrote me “They can’t hold specific table”. Arrived the restaurant on time, there was one table free in the first row, however waitress told me every table in the first line had been reserved. Literally I was shocked by what they wrote to me and the reality. I appreciate that they tried hard to fix the situation, later another staff told me actually “that” table was free and we could sit there. But my entire point is not to complain about the table. To be told specific table can’t be hold and later on to be told all the first line tables had been reserved - As an experienced traveller, my personal feeling perhaps there was less priority as a hotel guest to access the restaurant and we got treated slightly more or less differently at that moment. Still I would address the food is delicious and in the end our waiter was very kind and polite to us. My issue with the restaurant continued during my stay, in the second day breakfast, the waitress served me a dirty coffee-cup with tea or coffee stains.

The sea and Enta view from the hotel is unique and stunning. With 15-20 mins walking distance, easy to reach the town, you might need a taxi or hotel shuttle bus to get back. Nice decorations and design, the room provides everything you need and clean. The terrace, the pool, the garden, everything is under good and professional maintenance plus lots effort. Upon our arrival and check-out; the reception and all the staffs are helpful and friendly.

Our stay was delightful! My partner and I went there to celebrate my 30th birthday and the incredible staff made sure I had the best experience. The room's balcony had an incredible sea view, sun-beds and a table. And the room had very comfortable beds and the shower was equally wonderful. But the joyful experience was just possible because of the awesome staff! I want to thank Gaia, Daria and all the staff team for the amazing stay. They made everything possible for us: booked all our activities during the day (beach day, boat trips etc), organised my birthday dinner, scheduled our covid tests (to be able to fly home) and took us to the city center with the shuttle every night. I even got a birthday gift from them too - so thoughtful! The view is incredible from the restaurant and lounge as well, so everywhere we were at the hotel we could enjoy Taormina's magic bay view. It is indeed a boutique luxurious hotel with impecable service and I highly recommend! I can't wait to be back there! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The constant smell of drains in our bathroom which also went in our bedroom. No hooks to hang bathrobes which were left damp on top of shower ( that good fixed later on in our stay as were the lights which had come of the wall )

The staff who was very friendly and tried very hard to fix the issues with our bedroom. Good food for dinner and good view .
