Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had a wonderful stay in Villa Flavia. We were given a free upgrade on the apartment and we ended up staying in the Mandarin apartment which was perfect. Peaceful location and you are living in a safe district where Italian's reside, so not too many tourists about which suited us. Great little pizza restaurant nearby as well. Would recommend

RomaniaIn one morning we were woken up earlier than we would've wanted by noise from the room above us - we assumed they were cleaning the room up. Otherwise, the place was pretty peaceful
The hosts were very friendly and nice to us. The place was clean, spacious, away from the main streets and had a small garden we could have drinks/breakfast in. The buses towards the center(also towards Positano/Amalfi) or main attractions were pretty close by as well, around 7 minutes walk from the accomodation

BelgiumThe only thing we can think about is that there was no airco in the living room where also two people had to sleep on the sofa bed. For them, it was a bit too hot to sleep. But that's the only thing. We had a really nice time in Villa Flavia
The host was really friendly. The view from the rooftop was really great and the swimming pool was nice with those hot temperatures.

United KingdomNo issues.
Relaxing week in Sant'Agnello in a peaceful location. We enjoyed the view from our apartment (Arancini ) and the large balcony with views of Bay of Naples. Nearby pizzeria 9Le Arcate) was cheap and welcoming. Other restaurants 10-15mins on foot but road would be not suitable for young children. We travelled without a hire car but managed to visit Sorrento and Capri. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomIt was a little further out of the centre of Sant ‘Agnello than I thought- around 10 mins, then a further 20 mins to Sorrento. Once we got used to the crazy driving it was fine and we enjoyed the walk. Train station 10 min walk and 1 stop to Sorrento on the days/ evenings we didn’t feel like walking
Lucia was a wonderful host. She picked us up from bus stop in Sant ‘Agnello and dropped us at train station on our departure. Apartment was spacious with a small, private garden (Limoni apartment) . It was quiet and peaceful, a haven from busy Sorrento

FinlandCommunication before the trip could have been a little quicker, had to wait quite long to get answers to my questions about how to get to the apartment, but otherwise everything was perfect.
Villa Flavia was a peaceful oasis and we really enjoyed our stay there. Location was quiet but easily accessible by walking from Sant Agnello town and train station. The view from the large balcony was magnificent and we all (especially the kids!) enjoyed the pool area. Would definitely recommend!

United StatesLucia and Salvatore, and their dog Machia, were wonderful hosts at this beautiful villa with dozens of lovely roses and a grove of orange and lemon trees. It is heavenly just to relax by the pool. We had extraordinary views of the water and Mt. Vesuvius.from our balcony. It's easy walking distance to restaurants and the train station for trips to Sorrento, where you can take a bus or ferry to the Amalfi Coast

United KingdomSome road noise at night but not too disturbing. The bedroom is down 6 marble steps from the rest of the house and negotiating these in the middle of the night requires care. We thought the bottom step could do with some hazard markings as it not easy to see. Hot water for the shower could have been a little warmer. But minor points in an overall lovely place.
Super clean apartment at the edge of lovely gardens and an orange grove. Well equipped for simple self catering. Lovely and very helpful owner - she had left some basic provisions for our arrival which were very welcome after a harrowing drive from Naples. Handy for shops, restaurants and the train into Naples/Pompeo/Sorrento. Secure on site parking (once you find it). Super roof terrace with panoramic views - in a separate building to apartment. Good views from front of apartment and an outside dining area too. Comfortable bed. An overall sense of peace and tranquillity after the crowds elsewhere.

United KingdomLeaving! :-(
We had a lovely holiday here. This place felt like a second home. Mrs Lucia was very welcoming and kind and the perfect hostess. The apartment is extremely nice. We had a very large space with well equipped kitchen, two big bedrooms and bathrooms and a wonderful balcony with an amazing view of the mountains, Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. The gardens are lovely, with lemon and orange trees, jasmine and other blossom and swimming pool is a bonus. We hope to return soon! Grazie mille

United KingdomVilla Flavia was well equipped with all the basics, for cooking, bathing and sleeping. The sitting room could have benefitted from some more comfortable seating and the beds were quite unforgiving. The overall feeling was of a well used property.
Lucia welcomed us to Villa Flavia and gave us a relaxing and comfortable holiday. Villa Flavia is set in its own grounds with spectacular views over the Bay of Naples, looking towards Vesuvius. The pool is set amongst shady lemon and orange trees. With sun chairs around the pool and a stunning view from the upper floor terraces, the Villa offers some wonderful relaxing spaces. Although the road access requires care, there is a pedestrian short cut for walking into Sant'Agnello, which has a good supermarket and some excellent restaurants. Venturing out by car demands patience as the whole Amalfi peninsula is inundated with tourists but if you're prepared to take time and avoid the crowds, there is still much to enjoy, although the area as a whole has possibly seen better days.

United KingdomThere are four apartments, all in lovely gardens surrounded by fruit trees. The couple who own it live on site and we're friendly and helpful. Quiet location, but easy to walk to Sorrento in 30 minutes. Good little pizzeria and mini market nearby. I much preferred this to the traffic and bustle of Sorrento and Santa Agnello.
