There was no internet all night until the morning

House needs renovation but it is clean! Clean room, bathroom, kichen. the owners have worked on many details. For example, free light breakfast, tea, coffee, water. Francesco is a great man. Good choice for short stay

We wanted to stay close to the airport and this location suited us very well. The owner was very helpful and caring. It could have been a little tidier, but overall it was good.

The place is very cluttered with completely random items. Giant plushies and old tech seem to serve as decoration. All of it has its own charm, but might not be the best place for romantic vacation.

The host Francesco - although he does not speak perfect English - is able to communicate his good intentions and hospitality very well. No problems with late check-in, we even got a better room for 2 out of 3 booked nights.

Main downside was that the toilets and showers where in the same one room and were occupied alot of the time. But a day after we were less people on the floor and they were usually free.

A nice place to stay at bergamo, kind of far from the upper city and the down town but if you are willing to walk a bit its fun. The breakfast is nice and the rooms are big and comfortable. No net on the windows though so bring anti mosquito with you also no ac.

The host doesn't speak english, which makes the communication difficult. The place didn't look that well. The doors to the room are just sliding doors with a small hook from the inside. When you leave your room, you can't lock it up.

Snacks prepared for our arrival. Staff willing to open the door late in the night.

There are many doors in the house and there could be signs on the doors to make it easier to find your way around. There were also trash cans for sorting trash, but due to the lack of labels, it was difficult to understand exactly how it should be done. The rooms were a bit noisy (street noise and dogs barking).

The rooms were clean. The room and kitchen had everything you need. The host was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Staff were wonderful, kind and thoughtful! It's not your average hotel experience, it's more like staying with friends and family! Everything was clean and tidy, and the shared kitchen and bathroom were very nice. Francesco was brilliant, and would regularly appear with coffee, food and even fairy lights for us when we were relaxing on the balcony!

The price was perfect for a three people room. We were only two, but we paid a small price for a double bed and a single bed. They included everything you need; toiletries, some snacks, drinks, all the basic necessities you need when travelling☺️

    - I don't know about the other rooms, but the room 06 smelled bad (like old people feet), it needs a renovation, and the bathroom smelled like suige. -rooms have to share 1 bathroom -the owner locked the front gate and i could not get in, pushed the button and rang allot but he kept us in the rain twice, for like 10 to 15 minutes, phone numbers didn't work, i wrote a mesage on the booking.com app to come open it, but only when i tried to circle to the other side he came outside and openned up, but i don't know how he found out in the end that we were outside... -when we came it was very cold in the room, heat wasn't working, and the radiator started in the middle of the night and then it was too hot i woke up full of sweat

-I liked the price -It had biscuits and candy in a basket and apples in the kitchen

For my personal preferences, the temperature in our room and in the kitchen was to high. I am used to living at 19-20 degrees Celsius.

First of all, I liked that we had access to a kitchen equipped with all devices and utensils necessary for a short stay. We preferred preparing ourselves there the breakfast and the dinner. We traveled on a shoestring budget. We didn't mind sharing the bathroom and the kitchen. Anyway, those were cleaned everyday. Secondly, the bed is comfortable, the room is spacious and the access to Villa Giovanna is easy. There are a few buses going from Porta Nuova to the accommodation and 6 buses going the opposite. By foot, it takes between 30 and 40 minutes. Depends on your speed. We walked a few times when we didn't want to wait for the bus. After a certain time of the evening, the buses come less often.

The villa has six private rooms, our room was very spatious which we considered luxurious for the price. The staff was very helpful and kind, anything we needed was not a problem. The kitchen was well equipped and stored with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and other basic food. The bathroom is shared for 3 rooms but with a lock, so you can use it on your own. We didn't miss anything in there, the towels were available and so was a shampoo and a fan. The temperature in our room was just right, we stayed in the beginning of February. The distance from the city centre surprised us, it was way more approachable than we thought. The nearest bus station is about 200 metres from the villa and multiple lines go to Porta Nuova (central Bergamo) from there. Some of the other guests were a bit noisy, but that's not the villa's fault.

We were able to check-in at 1 30 at night. The room was very clean and spacious with a large bathroom. Staff was extremely kind and let us sleep longer than noon. Then we were offered free espresso and cookies. Before departure the gentleman kindly offered to make us some pasta dish for quick lunch which we gladly accepted. We offered to pay for it but he refused to take any money. Great service and kindness is what we took with us from Villa Giovanna.
