Everything was perfect, we have encountered only one small issue. Area near the pool serves also as an event/conference place. We had two days which we spent mostly resting in the hotel after our trips around the Sicily. During these two days, in the time we wanted to go to the pool there were some events taking place. I believe it was not forbidden to use it during the time of the event but we were not feeling very good to use the pool when just next to you are people participating in some official lunch, anniversary etc. However as I said it does not affect our overall excellent experience in Villa Giuliana. We understand that it is a small hotel and beside accomodation it has to make some income from other activites.

Hotel is located on the beautiful hill with amazing views from all sides. Gorgeus mountainous landscape on the north and mesmerizing city/sea view on the south. It is a very small building with only 12 rooms. You will not encounter many people in the corridors or near the pool. The area where hotel is located is big and spacious, there are no other buildings in the vicinity. There is a free parking available for every guest. Interior of the room is not modern but everything looks very stylish and it fits to the whole architecture of the building which most probably is some old 18-19th century villa. In the room you have everything you need, well equipped bathroom, minibar, TV, spacious wardrobe, big desk, air conditioning unit and coffee set. Very nice view from the balcony which is equipped with set of chairs, sunbeds and small table. Breakfast is not very fancy, but it is enough to fill you up and all products were fresh and tasty. You can choose if you want to eat outside on the terrace or inside. Hotel staff is very friendly, smiling and willing to help.

Not very sound proof, especially in rooms on the first floor. Can be hard to sleep if you are a light sleeper.

Yhe only thing that let it down was the area round the pool. The decking is poor and sun beds very dated; some even broken.

Hotel was well signed from the main road. All staff really helpful. Great views. Nice room and good breakfast.

The airport shuttle was very convenient. Staff drove us to the Punta Raisi airport for an early morning flight after serving a wonderful breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the outside patio.

One comment I wish to make is that the cleaning lady did not knock to check if we were in the room (and we were there). This happened twice. Then we were out all morning and afternoon and room was not done. She came in again just after we had arrived. I think she needs to check to see who is in the room before just entering. Also a couple of coat hooks added in the room would help for jackets to be hung up.

Room was quiet and peaceful and had a lovely view. It was comfy and clean. Enough space too. Breakfast was good and quire varied too. Staff were very helpful, and always courteous.
