Outdoor dining was sometimes uncomfortable as there were a lot of wasps around the property. They are certainly trying to mitigate the wasps but we had to go back inside to eat because they were a nuisance.

Put simply everything. Warm friendly staff that went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Special acknowledgment to Giovanni and Antonio who served us with a smile every day. The chef made sure he had special courses for two vegans in the family and apparently their food was delicious. The hotel is perched up on a hill overlooking the town with magnificent sea views. The pool area is spacious and quiet with plenty of sun lounges. The sea view room was perfect. It is a ten minute walk into town downhill and a very strenuous walk back. The hotel recommended a boat company for a private tour of the beaches along the coast which was heaven. Villa Gustui Maris is a wonderful small hotel I would highly recommend it to families and couples.

It is a bit of a walk up hill from town ok if you take it slowly in heat. Walking down is fine. Could use a second coffee machine.

We had an issue with the bath in our room which we couldn’t sort out, but it was time for our check-out.

The property is in a lovely location on the top of a hill. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff very accommodating and welcoming. After a 2:30hs drive in a very mountainous location I asked if we could check-in early and it was no problem. We really appreciated this as I was dizzy from all the turns of the drive. Just what we needed!

Maria the receptionist is wonderful. The hotel and property is very well maintained. Breakfast was very good and plenty of food. The pool and lounge are very refreshing after a dip in the sea. umbrella and towel’s provided for beach. Also Antonio the pool boy , bar tender and general helper is really helpful and nice.

Like other people have mentioned, its a steep walk back up from town, but the view makes it worth it! The breakfast buffet was nice, but not self-service, so sometimes there would be a bit of a wait, because there was only one person to serve everyone. Might be because of corona-restrictions, but we stayed at other hotels in Italy where this wasn't the case.

We spent 5 amazing days at Villa Gustui Maris, enjoying the amazing view of the Gulf of Orosei, going on hikes and a boat tour, relaxing by the pool and enjoying some really good local food in the restaurant! The staff were super friendly and very eager to help!

The premium room is a little on the small side: limited space for luggage. The breakfast, while of good quality, could have been more abundant.

The location is great, away from the main noisy sea front but only a 10-minute was away. The staff are helpful and friendly.

On arrival we got a room with almost no sea panorama view and we must change for a better room with extra costs but we were grateful to be able to change. A lot of products in restaurant can be frozen that's why we never ate there.

Restaurant wasnt taking bookings for dinner because the head chef was sick. This didnt inconvenience us too much because we wanted to see the town anyway but would have been difficult for any physically impaired or older people because it is a steep 20 minute walk back up to the hotel from the town. There is no bus service and only one taxi for the whole town too. Room was also very basic for the price, and breakfast was a bit chaotic with only one member of staff serving everyone. Not exactly good value for money.

Breathtaking views, we didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked lovely. Rooms were clean and receptionist was very friendly.

It was disappointing that even though the hotel hosts international tourists the staff is not that resourceful in terms of accommodating the needs of the guests.

The breakfast is really good. The pool and the terrace are great we spend must of our time there.

Fruit juices served during breakfast are horrible. Please serve fresh orange juice.

Wonderfully located high above the village of Cala Gonone. Hotel and grounds are well presented. Well kept pool, with (weather permitting) plenty of shade (umbrellas), but when windy hardly any shade at all. Restaurant has a nice outdoor dining area, but is (during our stay at least) very quiet indeed. Most guests seem to dine elsewhere, probably because there is only a (pricy) a-la-carte menu available. Perhaps the owners could consider introducing a fixed-price 3 or 4-course menu. Also maybe consider offering a shuttle service to town and back in the evening, for those that have had dinner in the restaurant and want to have a drink in town during the evening. Doing so may liven up things during dinner time. Very courteous staff and wonderful service. When we complained about the rather unforgiving beds, we were immediately upgraded to a bigger room with (somewhat) softer beds. Beautiful view over the bay of Orosei (rooms with sea-view).

The internet was not good to put it mildly, didn´t work at all in our bedroom. Food/drink service was slow. The breakfast was good, but you couldn´t help yourself (perhaps due to Covid restrictions) and sometimes you had to wait a while until there was someone there to give you a breakfast roll.

Beautiful setting above the town (although a strenuous climb if without your own transport). Lovely pool and patio areas.
