Our room did not have a kettle and the fridge did not work which was a shame.

Perhaps the room could include black-out blinds (though please note that there are external shutters, which adds to the venice charm!) and also a coffee machine and iron (though again, this wasn't too much of an issue for me).

The hotel had a fantastic location, a 5-min walk to the doge's palace and St Mark's square. The room and hotel itself felt more like a 4-star hotel rather than a three, and was decorated in venetian style which I adored. The room was huge, with a big bed and clean bathroom. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The check in area is in another hotel (a short walk away) but I had a lovely staff member carry my luggage from the check in area to my room which was an excellent touch. I would 100% recommend this hotel for a short stay in Venice!

The beds were too firm and there is no reception at this hotel. You had to go to another hotel down the street to check in.

Location was amazing! Room was nice. Loved having 2 bedrooms. The bathroom was big and shower was great. Included towel warming racks in the bathroom as well. Loved that they stored our luggage for free while we went sightseeing.

Our first room was very small. Air conditioning was not working. When we called front desk and reported we returned to our room to find a floor fan. I spent one night and the next morning went to front desk. They relocated to a bigger room with air . I was happy with that room.

So basically the check in desk for this establishment was at another hotel and the gentleman was very kind and gave us a room there as we were only staying for the day and not the night.

I do not know why the Hotel San Zaccharia is listed as a separate hotel, but maybe it technically because you stay in that building if you book that hotel. There is actually no staff or serviced at the hotel itself. It is actually part of the Savoia and Jolanda Hotel and all staff and all services are located in that hotel, including the restaurant. We checked in at that hotel and were walked to the San Zaccaria Hotel. There were limited plugs in the room for cell phones and none by the bed.

Off the main walkway from the mail canal at San Zaccaria are of San Marco. It may be difficult to find on its own, but you need to check in at the Savoia and Jolanda Hotel which is easy to find on the main San Marco walkway at the waterway. The room was decent overlooking the church, like the picture of the hotel. The bathrooms were upgraded and modern.

Spent the first night in room on top floor under the roof. Nice old beams but banged into them twice. Air-con not efficient enough as room is split into 2 levels: entrance and bathroom at the bottom, bedroom at the top. The cooler air makes its way down the stairs and does not stay in the bedroom. Not adapted to tall people, older people or people that need to get down to the toilets in the middle of the night. We moved to another room the next day.

Proximity with San Marco and local boat transportation and airport boat. Quiet square nearby the seafront but hidden away. Good restaurants in the back streets. Quiet hotel and rooms.
