We liked everything

We loved this property. The views are beautiful and the location was perfect for us, set in the hills surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean pines, lemon trees and other typical Mediterranean vegetation. It’s just a short walk down to the sea and castle (maybe 10 minutes) to restaurants and shops. The lady who welcomed us was one of the friendliest hosts I have met and was very kind and helpful giving us lots of information about the island and making sure we were happy throughout our stay. The property is stunning with beautiful Mediterranean decor and tiles, including in the bedrooms that are beautifully decorated and comfortable. There were lots of extra touches, such as cakes and refreshments left out throughout the day for guests, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. It’s lovely to sit in the quiet gardens and relax. Everything was just perfect and we would happily return.

Stunning, stylish authentic property with a 180 view of the sea and castle. Friendly, helpful staff. well located in a quiet, residential neighbourhood within walking distance of the old town and famous castle.

We stayed 2 nights at Villa Livia. For us it was perfect as we only wanted to chill and go to the beach. There is a free beach like 15 minutes away - no facilities there, or there are some beach clubs 5-10 minutes away which are quite pricey. (40 eur per person, where we went). There is a bus stop super close to the accomodation which takes you to the port and to explore the island (we didnt have time for that). The views are amazing, breakfast is great and the host is super helpful. You can take a taxi as well to the port (20 euro). It is also super quiet so sleeping was undisturbed. Note that the hill is quite steep - it is a workout to go up and down to the small village below. But it is worth it, there are plenty dinner options and cute shops.

This place was so beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to make our family comfortable. We did not want to leave! Very cleans and safe, and the location was very easy to walk to near by attractions. The breakfast was delicious. Looking forward to coming back to stay!

The only thing that wasn’t “easy” was the public transportation access. The only buses that stop close are each 50 min. Next time we will rent a scooter!

The place is beautiful, quiet and comfortable. The view is breathtaking. Marianna and Francesco were super welcoming. We regretted staying only 2 nights!

this property is a little further away from the centre than we would usually book...but it was worth it ! i like to take photographs so we often base our accommodation on the views or at least views near by .... and this property did not disappoint ! At 6am (april) i watched from the large garden - with pool and hammock - as the sun rose directly out of mount Vesuvius across the gulf of Naples with Castello Aragonese d'ischia in the foreground ...AMAZING ! ... there is also a roof terrace to stand and take in the views. The rooms are a good size , clean , well appointed and bright , as are the en-suites . breakfast was good and served inside or outside on the terrace (with the same views) depending on the weather . There are 2 buses that run from the centre (ferry terminal) passed the accommodation (numbers 12 and 13 i think - you tell the driver Hotel Parco Cartaromana - which is just opposite the premises ) but it works out that they only run about once an hour as far as i remember . Once at the property you can make the 10 min walk down to the castle where there is another bus you can catch to the centre that runs every 5/10 or so mins. When we arrived we just took a taxi rather than wait around- it was 25 euros , expensive for the distance but worth it with bags. There is only 1 restaurant near by and no shops or bars , again the nearest all being down in the vicinity of the castle 10 mins away. It is about a 35 min walk into the centre where the ferry terminal is. As an aside i would really recommend that anyone staying here try and make time to go to S'ant Angelo - its a little beachy/fishing village the other side of the island ... we thought it was the nicest place we visited . There are a few buses from the bus station that will get you there... it's probably about a 45 min journey from the centre. The host was friendly , unfortunately i cannot remember his name . the price was very good for the standard of the accommodation...

The location is a bit off, quite a distance walking to restaurants/beaches/shops/boat. But the bus network is pretty ok.

View is stunning, great garden and terrace. Good standard. Given that we came out of season with few guests around there was a pretty ok selection of breakfast items.

it had stunning views of the harbour, bay and castle. it was immaculately clean and well presented.

That we had to leave!

Complete and delicious breakfast only exceeded by the spectacular view on the terrace while we ate. The staff was exceptionally helpful and arranged Taxi’s, dinner reservations, and helped us settle a problem with our rental car agency. Cannot praise them highway enough.

Gorgeous setting. Friendly and so lovely in its design. Good breakfast and helpful info on what to do while in Ischia. You have to walk, bus it, or take pricey taxis to get to places with some hills, but overall well worth it.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Ischia. The architecture and overall peace of the space really exudes a great sense of the island.

Many restaurants were still closed for the season. Some that were open were expensive and not so good.

Marianna was a very gracious host. She provided a lot of information about the island. The views from the veranda were breathtaking. We enjoyed exploring the island especially the Castello Aragonese. The only downside was the fact that many stores/restaurants were still closed. We were there 2 weeks before Easter which is when most open.

Truly there was not a single thing to not like about the property… absolutely stunning property with picturesque views, a fabulous location, and even more fantastic managers/staff. Villa Livia is not to be missed!

The owners of the property were amazing! So accommodating with a late check-out. Also gave us so much information about the Island and a nearby free beach and restaurants. Can't wait to come and stay again.
