Two beds in one room was not comfortable, the mattress was really bad and must be replaced. The rest beds was good.

Big room and with nice view in the lake. The host was very kind and willing to welcome us for a late check in at 22.00. Good breakfast.

Walking into town is a little precarious with the Main road as the only option for pedestrians, so it probably better to take the car to go to dinner. There is a good parking near the boat landing to the islands in Stresa, which allows you to walk along the lake promenade without having to walk along the main road.

The owner was fantastic and extremely helpful and the breakfast is wonderful in a lovely breakfast room. They speak fluent French, German, English and Italian. A great and economical stopover on the way further south for families.

Giulio and his brother were fantastic helpful hosts. Helped us get dinner in the island and gave other recommendations 😊 The views to the lake are beautiful. The breakfast outside with a view was a highlight for us. Great value for money.

This is not something I didn't like, but I think visitors to this hotel need to be aware that the initial place to park for check-in is across the main highway that follows the coastline at the southern end of the lake. Since the road is well-traveled and crooked, great care must be taken when crossing this highway to access the hotel which sits, after a number of steps, above the road.

The unobstructed view from our balcony out across the southwestern end of Lake Maggiore was beautiful. We also enjoyed the breakfast of fresh pastries and other European fare. Natalino, who co-owns this historic family villa with his brother, was such an interesting person who seemed to take delight in sharing with me (in English) the history of the Villa pre–WW I, the tragic role it played in WW ll, and how his family eventually became the owners of it. Our conversation was a highlight, along with the stunning lake view, of our visit here.

The ambience during breakfast could have been improved by not playing local radio but with some cafe style music of Italian origin. The local radio is of no interest to the many international guests, who after all are paying for an enjoyable experience, not to be audibly assaulted first thing in the morning.

The property is in a perfect location between Stresa and Baveno with its own secure parking. The view from Hotel Villa Ruscello is amazing looking from height directly onto Lago Maggorie across to the islands.

Busy road in front of the hotel.

The hotel is very nice and has a lake view. But it is on a busy road with a lot of traffic starting early in the morning. It woke us up and then was impossible to sleep again.

The warm welcome by the brothers/owners is everything. The property is an excellent value for the location, parking, VIEWS and modest amenities. Breakfast was wonderful. Wine was available on request (Grazie!!!)

Great location and lovely gardens. Breakfast very good and secure parking in front of the hotel. Very quiet at night. The owner was very helpful and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again if in this area.

It's a little bit loud with a road. And towels had a strange smell, low quality.

The location is good, between Baveno and Stresa. Breakfast is also good.
