How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was lovely and historic, and we really appreciated the very comfy bed, linens and towels were wonderful. Breakfast included was very generous, overall a wonderful experience

We liked everything.
This is a gem! It was clean, warm, and full of iriginal character while enhanced with modern perks. Fantastic beds and the view from Aurora room. The host, Cecilia, was amazing. Coming back!

I would like to have a desk in the room so I could use my laptop or take down some notes, I had to go to breakfast room for this. Variety from day to day in breakfast as I mentioned before. Entrance and exit from parking. I found the bathroom a bit narrow for me.
We really enjoyed a pleasant stay at Villa Sant' Andrea. The building is an old villa, interesting and unique. My wife also loved the beautiful garden where she had some relaxing time. The parking is in the garden area, is spacious but the entrance and exit needs caution because it is straight at a crossroad. Cecilia was very kind and always helpful. Breakfast (not a buffet) was rich with local products and home made sweets but we would like more variety from day to day. The area is very quiet but far from facilities. The distance by car to Siena is about 10'-15'. The most convenient parking for us in Siena was 'Il Campo'.

as it is an old building sometimes you can hear the neighbors but it's not bothering if they are quite :D
Nice B&B, very spacious room and a toilet, and comfy beds. Friendly personnel. Close to Siena and spacious private free parking is good to have.

The toilet ceiling was low, need to be careful when entering.

A few steps not too many but if you’re older or have heavy luggage, it might be a problem

Charming old Villa with nice big rooms. Very well equipped. In a beautiful area close to Sienna. Breakfast was pre-paired by the owners and they have a lot of passion. A table were nicely set for us outside which was great with stunning views and atmosphere. They put in great effort to make sure we were happy. Good coffee as well. We enjoyed the stay.

We do not love foam pillows and we did not like the location of the driveway at the busy intersection.

Last bus at 8pm. Maybe some smaller cushions would be nice.

I would improve the quality of some of the breakfast items, like the bread. But overall it was a good breakfast! Important to have a car if you want to visit the center

We liked everything.
The stay was great, our host was lovely and the breakfast was good. The place has private parking in front so the car was safe. From the room there was lovely view of the landscape.

There's nothing that we didn't like, everything was perfect.
Location is an old villa which was very well preserved - they kept the original paintings on the ceiling. I love the fact that it had a small terrace with a nice view of the Tuscan country life. Breakfast was very good, although they don't provide buffet, you have options to choose from. Room was very clean and well furnished. Location is close to Siena, but in a more quiet place.

Wine tasting is a must) But in general, a perfect location for vehicle based excursions. Very nice premises, highly professional staff. Also, Siena downtown is easily reachable both by bus and taxi.

I didn't realize how far out the hotel was from Sienna; it is very close to a bus stop and once you get the hang of it, it worked well - just be prepared to travel in and out of town.
The hostess was lovely and spent a lot of time helping us figure out how to get where we wanted to go. Breakfasts were delicious! The room was lovely and had a beautiful balcony.

The location has a great flair, a stylish and original structure. The host is really friendly, courteous and the communication is easy. Overall we highly recommend the place.
