This is a splendid place with wonderful views and spacious accommodation. Loved it best of all the places we stayed. Our host was fantastic, generous and gave us wonderful information on how to navigate the town and best places to visit and eat at . Breakfast the best. We loved staying here!

I cannot think of anything I disliked or improvements I'd recommend for this stay. I think it was perfect for what we needed - a comfortable place to sleep and call home for a few days.

Domenico alone is enough reason for me to recommend this place highly. He spent a lot of time helping us navigate Taormina and gave us so many local recommendations for places to visit and eat. I wish we had more time to do all of it. Breakfast was simple but lovely, with an excellent view of Etna. Domenico even went out to prepare a little cake for my husband for his birthday. The room was cleaned daily with fresh amenities. The view is amazing but it is so for a reason - it sits further atop from the main town so a fair amount of stairs to climb. Having said this, my husband and I love walking so this wasn't an issue for us at all. There are busses but we felt the timetable was too restrictive for our more casual approach to this holiday. I have great memories in Taormina thanks to this stay and I'll come back again for sure.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Sara! Amazing view on Mount Etna and town from the rooms. The owner, Domenico, was very accommodating and helpful with all the tips- thank you! :) Really recommend this stay, away from the touristy hassle and noise, yet short walk down to the main streets and you can take a cheap bus back which will drop you right next to the door. Reaching there might be a bit confusing, if you are taking the bus from the train station. But Domenico can help you out with that.

Domenico is a super host, an absolutely amazing person who went out of his way to help us plan the entire stay at Taormina as well as the best way to reach the next destination. Gorgeous view, amazing breakfast, beautiful room.

Nothing, everything was amazing

Villa Sara is fabulous character property located near the top of Taormina and only 10 mins walk from the stunning centre. All rooms are very spacious and have a large balcony, view of the sea and Mount Etna. The property is a lovingly restored family home which retains all its original features and character. On our arrival we walked up the steps near the hotel to the top to see the very pretty church and take drinks in a hill top bar. Breakfast was delicious and Domenico was the perfect host! There’s a regular bus service from right outside the hotel or plenty of taxis. We stayed for 3 nights which was the perfect amount of time to explore Taormina. Highly recommended and you will not be disappointed!

Amazing location. All rooms have lovely balconies with a sea view and a great view of Etna. Lovely traditional Villa. Domenico was the perfect host. Extremely helpful and accommodating. Great breakfast. Bed was comfortable too. Costs 20 euro to get back from centre of taormina if you don't want to walk up the steps. There is also a bus we used to get to castelmola ( which is well worth a visit) and this was very cheap so there are other options to a taxi.

Breakfast could have had fresh orange juice and/or fresh fruit. The rooms were a little old looking, but really it didn't bother at all.

The host was extremely helpful - can't say enough good words. He even texted me to ask after we left if we made it to our next destination alright, ordered us taxi and helped us plan our trip in Taormina. The views from our room overlooking Etna were also amazing. Breakfast had savoury and sweet choices.

Villa Sara matched and exceeded expectations that were already very high after reading all the previous very positive reviews. The site's photos don't do the balcony views of the town, sea and Mt Etna justice, it was unbelievable. Domenico was an exceptional host, providing so many helpful recommendations for things to do/see, transport, and local restaurants. I can't recommend this place enough!

The location is excellent. Waking up to the views of Mt. Etna was such a dream! Domenico made our 5 day stay extraordinary with his advices, tips on the way what to do/see, and the breakfast... If we had a small complaint it would be to refresh the bathroom. But we would 100% visit again if we were in Taormina.

The host Domenico was the best! He was so friendly and helpful, gave us loads of tips for places to go, and maps via messaging so we wouldn’t get lost. The views from the balcony and from the breakfast room were spectacular. Breakfast was amazing also, with both savoury and sweet choices offered - we did not need to eat again until late afternoon!

A beautiful place in an incredible location. Peaceful and quiet with an amazing view of Mt Etna from your very own terrace. Domenico provides an excellent breakfast and takes time, effort and charm to give you all the necessary tips and information to make your stay in (and outside of) Taormina as nice as possible.

From our perspective, we had zero complaints but for some, there could be issues with climbing the stairs (no elevator) to get to the rooms and it's a bit of walk down to the main street (Corso Umberto) and back up. There's a considerable elevation difference between the B&B and Corso Umberto. If you are in adequate physical condition and can climb stairs, you'll have no issue because the view up there is well worth it.

We loved everything about our stay at Villa Sara. Domenico is a fantastic, gregarious host who is really good at all facets of the job of running a B&B for tourists. Using the app, WhatsApp, he gives all kinds of advice with links to restaurants, best walking routes via Google Maps, what to see, etc. He serves a very tasty breakfast asking what you would like the following day. The view from his breakfast area plus the terrace serving the rooms is outstanding (the Mediterranean and Mt Etna). The room was very nice with high ceilings, lots of space, a very comfortable bed (we like firm), and the aforementioned walk-out view from the terrace.

The parking is quite tricky, but this is the capability of whole Taormina.

Domenico is the best host we have met ever. He contacted in time, he was extremely helpful, friendly and his recommendations about the area were perfect. The breakfast was way enough and good with an amazing view to Etna. The room was clean and also had a beautiful view.

Everything was excellent

The breakfast was very good and delicious. Domenico is so nice and positive, that everything was amazing. He cares about everything to feel good and comfortable. He asked us what we would like to eat and amazing Sicilian breakfast was prepared for us. The villa itself is one of the oldest B&B and you can find many interesting elements of decoration inside. The view from balcony to Etna is amazing, you can relax and admire mountains and Etna from your balcony. Castelmola is also not far away from Villa Sara and recommended to be visited, we liked it a lot too. I highly recommend Villa Sara and would stay here again for sure.
