How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was no staff around to check-out and it was hard to find the guesthouse the first time. Location isn't ideal, but totally worth it for Rome prices.
Super comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were very clean, with toiletries available. A very good room considering Rome prices. 100% recommend!

Viola was very kind and polite, checked me in personally and made sure I had everything I needed. The room is clean and spacious and has a private bathroom complete with shower and everything is renovated.

Just very tiny things: Loud aircon on the balcony so you couldn’t leave the door open at night, squeaking doors so you can always hear when someone enters or leaves the apartment

Everything was great.
Viola Accommodation is an amazingly cozy place. It is well renovated, super clean, and comfortable. Viola herself, is an absolute angel, and her service is top notch. We couldn't have been more welcomed and taken care of.

I have nothing negative to state about this property.
We loved the fact the accommodations were central to public transportation. Viola was there to greet us upon check in and welcome us to the neighborhood. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom spacious.

Viola is wonderful. We will come back for sure. She was delightful :) Always making sure that we have everything, helped us with the transport *she recomended what to visit and how to get there, she is lovely. It was a pleasure to meet her and to be hosted by her. The location is awesome. The bed comfortable, the bathroom has everyting. We had an smart tv connected to netflix what it was perfect for relax at night. 100% recommend.

only there were very cold marble floors:) but its not a problem
it was perfect. the owner prepared breakfast for us, as well as free cookies, tea, and coffee, in the kitchen there was a coffee machine and a kettle that we could use at any time. We enjoyed of your staying there.

Everything was perfect
We loved everything from the lovely welcome to the spacious bright room. Being given a delicious homemade cake on arrival was so nice too. It was great being able to make hot drinks and have use of a fridge.
