Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI loved everything. At first I was a bit nervous of the very tiny, antiquated elevator but after a few trips up and down I realized it was perfectly fine
Stylish, comfortable rooms in a fantastic location, close to all the historical sites, restaurants and wine bars. Loved having breakfast in the cute little breakfast room and the food was fresh and tasty.

United StatesFantastic suites in the middle of Rome. Walking distance to all major sites. Only one you had to take a cab to was the Vatican. This is our third time staying here. Loved Christine at the desk. Only downside is the tiny elevator. But really no problems.

United StatesThe only elevator to our room & reception which were on the 4th floor is very antiguated, its swing door and metal gate had to be close or the elevator will not work. We had to climb the stairs several times because someone forgot to close the elevator doors. This is the only negative point for our stay
Room was very clean and service was excellent. Location was excellent too and close to many attractions and restaurants. The staff was just magnificent

United StatesThe location was fabulous. Very walkable to many of the historic sites. Also, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was very good -- eggs cooked to order and not just a buffet. The room was well-equipped, pretty large and cleaned very day.

United StatesThe room is truly a nice luxury suite, it’s beautifully and spacious. It is more like a luxury apartment than a hotel room. Truly a home away from home. The bathroom is big and comfortable, the sitting room is a place feels like home, and you can sit on the chair with a book and enjoy a couple of tea while over looking out to a nice terrace or a beautiful church. The location is very convenient and safe, it’s a walking distance to major attractions and train station. Evenings we walked to nearby museum stairs to enjoy a beautiful sunset and have a delicious Pizza or pasta dinner in the neighborhood. I would recommend to my family and friends.

United StatesThe only thing is the city tax is $7 per person per day, so make sure to know that is an extra cost. They do not take American Express at the hotel, but that is most of Italy. Cash, visa and Mastercard are preferred. Taxis to and from the airport want cash, so have some on hand.
The property is on the fourth floor of a building mixed with offices and private residences. Although, it is not very busy and we maybe saw three other people outside the hotel. It has an elevator and stairs to access. For Roma this property is a modern gem in a wonderful location. You are a 10 minute walk to Parthenon and Trevi fountain with lots of restaurants nearby. The Spanish steps is about 20 minutes, the colosseum is about 20-25, Vatican about 30 minute walk. We only took a taxi once, to the Vatican due to rain, but walked back. The amenities are clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast room overlooks Italian rooftops, is small but comfortable. A chef is available daily to make any type of eggs, toast from freshly sliced bread, they have meat and cheeses, fruit, a couple cereals, cucumbers, tomatoes, jellies, Nutella and pastries. A perfect mix. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had to leave at 6:15 am for the airport and they put together breakfast and had it in our room and fridge the night before. They made sure to get our taxi to the airport as well. They also clean your room daily. Overall a great stay.

United StatesNow about that elevator🤭…Actually enjoyed the adventure. However, guests should be patient and understand that this ancient gem does not move fast. One guest yelled to send the elevator down when we were still inside
Quite a charming location with polite and helpful staff! Close enough to everything except the Vatican. Special thanks to Dale for awesome instructions prior to arrival and beyond. The chef/host for breakfast was a wonderful gentleman!
