Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyVery well located for skiing but note that it is not ideal if you are a beginner as the ciela alto chairlift (which goes from directly under the apartments) and the slopes coming back down and connecting to main slopes are not ideal for beginners as they are quite steep. For seasoned riders it is perfect. For beginners you ski down from the hotel ca 300-400m and have to walk about 2-3 minutes to the plan maison lifts. And to come back (as a beginner) you need to take the ski bus from Breuil cervina terminus. For intermediate riders and above you can connect via the nr13 slope which brings you back to the apartments direct Ski rental and ski school are in the building.

United KingdomThe nearest restaurant/mini shop service where we ate breakfast was not very friendly, and it's the only one for some distance so we didn't have much choice.
Apartments were bright and spacious. They were quite functional but really good value for money.

United KingdomThe room was clean and spacious. The view was absolutely amazing. The receptionist was an absolute darling, she was very welcoming and helped us with lots of recommendations. We enjoyed the ski in and out of the hotel and the proximity of the town center. We stayed for 8 nights, we manage to ski 6 days (one day was lost due to the weather). I am a beginner/ intermediate with this being my 3rd season skiing and the ski in and out was ok. After the first few runs I could confidently go in and out on my own.

United KingdomThe location was out of town and the last bus was 8.30pm so you couldn't have a night in town. The walk back up hill was too long
Close to the slopes for ski in and out

United KingdomA bit basic, lighting very harsh with no table lamps. Kitchen only has one power socket, which makes using kettle, microwave etc a complete pain.
The base camp apartments are in a good or bad location depending on your skiing ability, let me explain. It is possible to ski in and out of the complex, however this is not an option for beginners as the run from the apartments to the main lifts is a narrow (not difficult) red. My partner very much a beginner would not ski this run. The alternative is to take the buss which runs about every 30 mins during the day, reception will give you the details. There is parking outside, be aware that the road is steep and winding so you may well need snow chains.

Hong KongI'd rate the facility 5 in 5, if the ski in/out wasn't marked in the description. The hotel is NOT ski out, you have a red slope with a very narrow, bumpy and sharpe curve that most of the time force you to remove your skis and walk about 300m uphill in the snow to the take the main gondola. Also ski in is ONLY FEASIBLE when the slope 7/13 are not closed which happened to us, forcing our group to go down to the city and take the bus that is not included in the ski pass (have never seen this in 15y skiing around the world), and it is small and only passes every HOUR, which is ridiculous considering the bus capacity and "rush hour" in the afternoons when everyone is returning from a ski day. I'd definitely come back to Cervinia, but this time I'd be more diligent looking for a proper ski in/out.
The flat is spacious, clean and well maintained. Tonia does an AMAZING job, honestly not sure how she manages the entire facility by herself basically. Thank you for your care and support during booking and stay accomodating our requests and questions.

United KingdomThe common areas look tired and could be refreshed.
Brilliant location for ski in/out. The hotel is next door to a ski rental shop where you can buy ski passes as well. The Base Camp pizzeria is right next door as well, and serves the best pizzas we ever had. The wine is good and it’s all decently priced. The receptionist Tonia is an asset to the hotel. She is very friendly and approachable.

United KingdomAlthough we really liked the apartment. It did feel a little run down given the cost of staying for 6 nights. I know if I'd mentioned things like the hair dryer not working it would have been sorted immediately. I also worried about my children sleeping in a top bunk bed without rails so we had to use the beds in the living room. For us we booked a ski in ski out apartment not knowing that the lifts were for red runs and not near the main ski area we would be using as beginners. This made carting skis to town quite a mission. Thankfully we found a locker in the town centre to keep our equipment in. It also felt quite far away when you wanted to stay in town and have drinks or dinner. There are two restaurants on the premises but neither felt very atmospheric. This area is definitely suited to more confident skiers than us.
Tonia is a wonderful host. She welcomed us warmly and gave us plenty of needed information. She took time to explain everything we needed to know from how to use the shuttle bus to the skiing level needed on the slopes near by. She remained helpful throughout our stay.. The apartment in itself was spacious and comfortable.

PortugalThe staff member at the restaurant beside the bar, was the rudest person we have ever met in the hospitality industry. Apart from that we had wonderful time!
Tanya was incredibly helpful and professional, a pleasure to meet her on our arrival and she had recommendations of things to do when the weather was bad which was greatly appreciated. The ski rental shop was fantastic and great value.

Very comfortable rooms, especially if you travel with kids, lovely restaurant and great breakfast. An added value the fact that all of the products in the mini market are local, fresh and environmental friendly.
