John the owner was a horrible man. He was drunk and abusive to me when I asked him a simple question that evening about my booking payment. My friend heard him shouting, so opened the office door to check I was alright. He then went on to have a go at my friend because he wasn't happy with where she parked, even though he had not directed her. Awful behaviour from "superhost". We checked out as soon as we could the following morning because we felt uncomfortable and unsafe with him. So much so I didn't even sleep in my bed that I'd paid 4. Bad energy!! Notwithstanding the place was run down and not a true reflection of the images. #false advertising. It was smelly and dirty, which we would have managed for 2 nights if the owner wasn't so rude. The following morning, when I gave him the keys to check out a day early, he could not remember his behaviour the night before...clearly drunk. You can not run a successful business pissed and verbally abusing nice customers for no reason. Trying to get the 1 night refund because of him, took forever too. I urge you not to book here!!

    Nothing.

The hotel I had booked was unable to accommodate me for 1 of my nights, I found availability at this property for 1 night online via booking.com. As someone who has worked in hotels & restaurants for over 17 years, I honestly understand a property not accepting 1 night bookings. But, having someone just stand outside while you give the online booking company a piece of your mind shouldn’t be my problem. Then to offer me 2 nights (he had a room, just wasn’t willing to do it for one night), was just rude. I secured a room down the road at Country Country at triple the price, and triple the hospitality. I was exhausted, frustrated, and just wanted to go to sleep. Booking.com is still sending me messages about how I canceled my booking, and now asking me for a review.

If you plan to book for more than 1 night, do it. Reviews seem lovely. Cute, quaint, and rustic property.
