How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Petra555 is a very good located place to stay. Village center/Petra visitor’s center is just 10-15 minutes walk down the hill. Clean and comfy room with bathroom. The host is really nice, had the best tea with sage at his house. We got recommendations for Petra, Wadi Musa and also Wadi Rum. Nice traditional breakfast is in the price. Totally recommend.

We missed some fruit on breakfast plate. You can try dinner from owner for 10 JOD/ pers., but for half kilo of rice and quater of chicken and some sauce it doesnt worth the money. For me is better option to try local food in town- for same price you will get much more rich dinner and autentic feeling.
Breakfast was quite good (but not so rich we expected), and room was clean , big and well equiped.

The owners of the Petra 555 are very freindly and open to help. I appreciate a lot to possible always ask for help or any information about Jordan/Petra. Also the tea or coffee for free in their house.

Very friendly host who also likes to gice the guests information about jordan people and culture. Delicious dinner eith big amount of food cooked by his wife for 10JD each. Clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable bed Enough breakfast to bring some as lunch for in Petra.

No faults!
Great and comfortable space with a to go breakfast that allows you to leave for Petra at any time. There are truly 2 main highlights of the place. First are incredible dinners, do not skip them, cost 10 dinar per person but they are truly the best local food we had in Jordan. Second is an attentive, kind and truly helpful family running this place, do listen to all their tips cause they know what they are talking about. And if you need anything they will always exceed expectations and go out of their way to help you (without expecting anything). Stay for dinner, great stories and company!

Amazing hosts who told us about the story of their family and cooked for us a really nice meal! The family lives there, so you can get help if needed. The place is quiet and nice, with outside space to sit and relax after a long day in Petra. Our room was clean, tidy, with enough place for everything and a really cool shower. It’s not far from the entrance of the site but quite up on the hill (FYI). Definitely a place to come back!

The bed creaked and the blanket and pillows did not have bed sheets (for the hygienic reasons and cleaness it would be good to have them).
The owner was very nice and helpful. He brought very delicious breakfast at the evening, so it was possible to go to Petra early in the morning. The room and location was good, too.

Really nice hotel. The room was big and clean. The hosts were very kind and helpful. There's a car park for visitors if you've rented one - which is great! Definitely worth recommending.

near to Petra however the hill is too steep its hard to walk to. If you have a car (you can find free parking near Petra) would not be a problem.

The only thing to be aware of is the property’s proximity to a mosque which means the call to prayer is very audible.
We appreciated the proximity of the property to Petra. I also really appreciated that the owner specifically got us gluten free bread for our friend with celiac! He truly went above and beyond.

We really enjoyed the Hospitality of the Owner Amr. The Dinner prepared for us was yummy. The Breakfast was equally delicious with an abudance of items included. It was well located.

First of all I would like to thank Yahya, the owner, for having us at his place. It was such a nice place to stay and we felt very welcomed. The advantages of the place are free large parking, close to Visitor Center for Petra, shops nearby - the area is closed with an outdoor space so our 3 year old had some place to play outside. We loved the meal - that is dinner and our breakfasts. We also ordered a lunch box - it was very convenient for us. The apartment was clean and large. The only thing was the bathroom - which was very small and different to what we are used to. But that is ok there was hot water and a shower and that was all we wanted. I would recommend this place when staying in Petra 100%.

Host is very friendly, the appartment is big enough for 4 people and very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to the travelers who prefer not to spend much but still to get a comfortable and friendly place for a stay.

Great location. 15 min walk to Petra's visitor center. And 10 min walk to restaurants and supermarkets. Very kind and helpful host ! We had dinner cooked by our hosts and it was delicious, genuine local food. Amr help us booking a taxi to continue our trip around Jordan and he was super available during our stay. We strongly recommend to stay at Petra 555 if you are visiting Petra.
