Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff were very nice and friendly. The place was super clean, eith cleaning service every day on your demand. The location is great, close to all what you need from shops/ pharmacies and not far from the centre. Customer's service is amazing, they are very helpful in all ways. I will book this place every time I go to Jordan, it worth it.

I loved how clean and hotel like it felt. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, there's even a vanity table. The aircon worked fine and we had the perfect temperature. The water pressure in the showers was sufficient and they provided enough towels and shampoo. The wifi was super fast too. I asked for an additional frying pan, washing liquid and laundry detergent and they immediately helped. We didn't know how to operate the TV, and after calling reception, we had someone come sort it in two minutes. The location is great too because there are restaurants, patisserie, shops within walking distance. And a taxi to other areas in Amman is 10-20 minutes away at a cost of 2-4 dinars.

United Kingdom1) Not as per photos and no balcony as stated. 2) Rules not stated on Booking.com, such as not Hookah allowed (although ad stated that there are designated smoking areas), not being allowed to cook seafood, or consume alcoholic drinks. 3) Signs of mould. 4) Asked for a marriage certificate which was weird. 5) Constant food smell from neighbours.

QatarThe building in general seems to be old and almost completely renovated. The windows are still old, for example, so the sound insulation is very weak in the building, as it is on the main street and annoying car sounds are always heard. The bed's mattress is like wood, very uncomfortable. We noticed ants throughout the apartment, and I think it is a problem that needs to be addressed.
The staff (Ahmad and Khaled And Abo Saif) is polite and kind, they provided me with everything that was not present in the apartment (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, clothes hanger). facilities and are very good. The apartment is very clean, tidy and identical to the pictures.
