Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandWe didn't know we should have stayed for weeks... or months. But it's OK. Next time.
A truly phenomenal experience! Photos fail to capture the full beauty of the scenery. The tent feels cozy and convenient. The view from the bed is spectacular, cleanliness is top-notch. As for the food, it’s likely the best we’ve had in Jordan. Can't tell much about the wifi because there are way better things to do in the camp. Don't miss out on the jeep tour, it was awesome! Beyond the excellent facilities and activities, what truly sets this place apart is our host, Ahmad and his brothers. Their kind attentivity and generous hospitality made us feel like family. Highly recommended place! Definitely going back!

United KingdomN/A - would recommend this camp to everyone
The family here can’t do enough for you, they organised all our activities to times that suited us and made it a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The food is brilliant and although the facilities are basic they are comfortable and far better than I expected for the desert.

NorwayI really loved the authentic cultural feel of the place. It was deep in the desert away from the main road so you really felt separate from the whole world while still having a high comfort level. Additionally some of the nicest people I have ever met working and staying there.

MalaysiaAhmad has kind soul and is one of the nicest people I have met. He made sure everything is ok with me and that my stay is comfortable. True enough I felt like at home when I was in his camp area. The room is clean with a view of the desert. Dinner they served is good as well especially the Maqluba. The camp area is peaceful and I can literally just sit there all day long! High recommended! Thank you Ahmad!

The property was clean and felt very safe. The bed was comfortable and the views are amazing. The food and hospitality was fantastic.

CanadaExcellent in every way. To be honest, we had no idea what to expect from this camp. There are so many options available in Wadi Rum, and after careful consideration, we decided to give Wadi Rum Star Camp a try. Ahmad had been in touch with us (via Dima Alkurdi) for months before our arrival, providing us with very detailed information to every question we had, anticipating our every need. We were promptly picked up from the visitor center by Ahmad, safely brought to the beautiful camp and after a short break, Yousef took us on a private 6-hour tour all over Wadi Rum in his brand new pick-up truck. Hands down, one of the most unique experiences on this planet. Words can't do it justice - everyone has to experience this for themselves. Ending the day with a stunning sunset surrounded by Ahmad and his family members was just the cherry on top of an amazing afternoon. The dinner served at night was absolutely delicious. I also would like to mention just how considerate our hosts were, in the fact that we were not "pushed" to participate in the dinner event, instead, everyone was free to decide if they wanted to eat or simply enjoy the evening on the premises. The next morning, Ahmad organized a private sunrise camel tour, which was only equaled in its excellence by the tour Yousef took us on the day before. Had we known it would be such an amazing experience, we would have stayed longer than 1 night. Would highly recommend this camp to anyone wishing to experience Wadi Rum to its full extent.

CanadaNothing! We only wish we had stayed longer.
Wadi Rum Star Camp exceeded our expectations in every way! Ahmed was the best host - so warm, friendly, charming, informative, and passionate about the desert and the Bedouin lifestyle... he really made it feel as if we were a part of his family. He personally met us in the Welcome Centre parking lot, greeting us warmly to welcome us to Wadi Rum, and then gave us a mini tour on the way to the camp. Yusuf, Ahmed's brother, was our 4x4 sunset tour guide and he was awesome and took really great photos for us. The Zarb dinner was delicious and so cool to learn about / see in real time. Ahmed prepared a campfire at night with benches/couches to lie on so we could look up at watch the stars - it was truly magical and something we will never forget! I spent a lot of time researching all of the Bedouin camps at Wadi Rum on booking.com and was overwhelmed with choice, as their descriptions and photos are all so similar... if you're in the same boat, do yourself a favour and book this one! You will not be disappointed! The other Wadi Rum camps don't have Ahmed and family so they won't be nearly as good :)

ItalyThis was our favourite place to stay in Jordan. The camp is amazing! Even if you have all the services like private bathroom, electricity, wi-fi, they decided to preserve their traditional style I loved the view from the window so much. Waking up there is pure magic. The camp is at about 200m from the place where Star Wars was filmed. So the position is great. Talking about our host, Ahmad, he is the kindest and the much honest person I have ever met. Quoting him: "now you have a brother in the desert". I feel that in my heart. We arrived very late and we wanted to eat and he offered to book a table for us, took us there and waited for us 'till we finished, without asking anything in exchange. I hope he reads this comment and if he does: Ahmad, thank you from the bottom of my heart! There is just a few people in the world with such a pure soul and I feel thankful that I had the chance to meet a person like you.

But what made the stay so special for us was the unbelievable hospitality of Ahmad and his family. He treated us like family and we will recommend Wadi Rum Star Camp to all of our friends and family. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The communal area was also lovely with a choice of outdoors, by the fire at night, or indoors. Ahmed and his family, staff and the cook, we’re all so kind and welcoming. The dinner was delicious. The trips we did (4 hour jeep tour and sunrise camel ride) were well organised and fun. No complaints about this place.

SloveniaI got sick the evening I arrived at their camp. They were really nice and helpful, they made me tea, bring me all sort of pills and constantly made sure I was ok. They even offered a drive to hospital if that was necessary. Next day I was better and did a sunset tour with them. They offer all kind of tours. For dinner they made a bedouin specialty - Zarb, which was amazing. The camp location is very good, it's just a 10min walk from one of the highlights of Wadi rum - starwars filming location and sunset viewing point. Did I mention the amazing view from your room? Photos don't do it justice. Look no further for accommodation in Wadi Rum. They really feel like family.

United KingdomThe communication was very clear in advance of the trip. Ahmed, one of the individuals who ran the site (along with his brothers), made us feel at home. Ahmed's English was also very good. The tours represented good value, especially the Jeep Tours. At the time of our stay, there was a Camel race attended by the Crown Prince nearby. Ahmed and the team brought us to the race site for free to observe, in addition to the sunset (the view from Tatooine in Star Wars). It might not be clear from the pictures posted, but in each of the rooms there is a high quality bathroom, including a shower. Overall, given how many camps there are in Wadi Rum to choose between. You can feel confident choosing Star Camp.

RomaniaAll was perfect so nothing to object
The authenticity of this complex combined with the breathtaking landscape and the wonderful hospitality of our host made our 1 night spent there memorable! We regret not taking more nights as this experience was unique and definitely deserved a longer stay! Our host prepared a great circuit for us to visit that ended with the sunset mountain view over tea and fire! Once back we had the greatest and delicious dinner with chef preparing a chicken and vegetable underground cooking that was revealed with all of us standing by clapping and cheering! We stayed bu the fire drinking tea (It was the most delicious black tea ever tasted), telling stories, talking about history and customs and living in the desert lifestyle. We are so lucky to have been meeting this wonderful family and privileged to have this experience! I recommend this hotel with all my heart…and book more than one night 😁
