Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe driver / guide on the jeep tour was not all that fluent in English. He was helpful and kind but I had expected him to give us more background information on the different sites we visited during our jeep tour. He was definitely more a driver than a tour guide.
The camp is well located and offers gorgeous views on the plains and the mountains (especially when relaxing in the rocking chairs in front of the restaurant). The owner (Salman) is very sociable, hospitable and does everything to make you feel at home. He gave us een upgrade from a room with shared bathroom to a family room with ensuite bathroom (with lovely mounain views). Dinner is very good, both in terms of quality and quanity. It is not included in the initial booking price and has to be ordered beforehand (12 JD per person). We took an interesting 4-hour jeep tour and managed to see a good number of highlights in Wadi Rum. On arrival at the Visitor's centre, Salman was waiting for us. He then took us to his house in the Wadi Rum Village (7 km after Visitor's Centre) where we made a one-off payment for our stay (+breakfast), dinner and jeep tour upfront. We paid by Visa credit card.

United KingdomThere isn't really anything we can add here. This was the highlight of our trip and I can't think of a thing we would change - other than to stay longer.
So much to say about this. From the point that we booked in the UK the communications was smooth. The camp helped us prearrange our tours, pick up details, and fine tune timings etc. The camp itself is wonderful. Many different types of accommodation for all budgets. Basic tents with shared bathrooms, and private tents with en-suite. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an ensuite. It was fantastic. Very warm and clean. And the beds were so comfortable. Facilities are sufficient but this is a desert - if you really need a hair dryer you're in the wrong place! The location within Wadi Rum is also fabulous. You have a good viewing point for star watching and also for the sunrise. I didn't realise that the camp is just next to the 'Little Rock Bridge' either! Many of the trips you will do include a sunset view elsewhere, so you won't miss out on that. The manager/owner (Salman) does everything he can to look after you. At dinner, I saw that he went to every group and checked they were okay. Explained the options for the evening, and lead the entertainment. We had traditional music and dance from his team, and whilst some carried on dancing, Salman took us out to find the best view of the stars. The food was plentiful and very tasty - with vegetarian options. The buffet style means that you don't go hungry. Tours were well guided. We had a jeep tour, which was very reasonably priced. We were able to choose where we went and take our time, as there were only two of us. Abdul was very informative and took us to some additional places not on our list, as he felt we would like them. He also had a great sense of humour! If we were to return to Wadi Rum, which I hope we will, we would go to the same place again, for sure.

GermanyThere are many lights from this and other camps in the vicinity - the sky was not that dark. The sunset and sunrise not that spectacular because the sky was very clean.
The camp is located near the small bridge, sunset is seen from the terrasse and sunrise from the bridge. Not a long way from the village but good starting point for the desert tours. I was the only guest at the time, so I've got a tent upgrade for the one with bathroom and it was very quiet. Dinner was nice and tour was very interesting.

The room very clean. The restaurant was ok at dinner and breakfast. We had a special walk at night to see the sky and the stars. We had with them also a 6 hr Jeep Tour, that was amazing thanks also to our driver and guide Awwad. We spent the last night of our special Jordan’s holiday at Beyound Wadi Room. Really special time, the staff very gentle and ready to support. We strongly recommend to select this accommodation.

United StatesStaff are very friendly! We got an upgrade with nice view and en suite bathroom. Really appreciated it. The view at the camp is Amazing! Just like on the Mars. A lot of activities at night: ground BBQ, local music, hookah, star gazing…The camp is right next to a Arch. It is very fun even staying at the camp without booking any tour. :)

United KingdomFollow the detailed instructions you'll get when you've booked, and it's a wonderful experience. Phenomenal value for money really, and although it was my first visit to Wadi Rum I could tell that it's one of the better-located camps. Salman and his team are professional and helpful, and we enjoyed every part of it. Wadi Rum itself doesn't need any upsell, but with a frightening number of accommodation options to choose from, I'm glad that we found this one.

SwitzerlandTent not very clean. Given the natural desert location, be aware that some insects will sleep with you.
Great location directly next to little bridge, amazing for sunset and sunrise. Room upgraded to single tent with private bathroom. Good dinner including show. Jeep tour organized by camp was very nice.

JordanBreakfast was a little scarce but understandable given the remote location of the camp. If you tend to snack make sure to bring some snacks with you when you visit. Water is free and dinner and tea are abundant.
Our stay at Beyond Wadi Rum was excellent. When we arrived at the visitor center everyone communicated to ensure we were picked up and brought to the camp site with ease. Everyone at the camp was incredibly kind and accommodating. They really go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and to share local traditions and stories. The dinner was abundant and in the evening they set up outside for us to enjoy the stars. A wonderful atmosphere.

AustraliaUnfortunately when we stayed there was a large rowdy group tour of young people who brought their own alcohol and ruined the tranquility and ambience of the desert with their loud singing, but the rest of us tried not to let that ruin the specialness of the time.
Owner and staff were very friendly. The desert tour was really good with a really friendly guide who took us to all the sites cumninating in a desert sunset. The rooms were adequate and comfortable and everything was clean considering we were in a desert! The dinner was a lovely traditional meal cooked in the ground with lots of local sides to go with it, followed by some fun traditional dancing and star gazing.

SloveniaOur experience in the desert was very special because of the natural scenery which is amazing. Special thanks also go to the camp staff, who try to show us the way of living and all the beauties of this part of the world to the greatest extent possible. The camp itself is on a very special location, protected with the rocks. The served food is very good, varied and tasty, prepared in a traditional way.

CanadaNothing.
I had the most amazing time staying at this camp. Salman went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and having a good time. The other workers were also very nice and tried their best to communicate with us. I couldn’t believe I could have a hot shower and use the bathroom facilities in the middle of the desert. The tours provided by this camp are fantastic. I was here for 3 nights and would recommend the full day jeep tour to anyone. One of the cool things about this camp is it’s location right next to a beautiful viewpoint; perfect for watching the sunrise. The food here was very good. The tea served here is fantastic.

NetherlandsAbsolutely nothing to improve, great location, the best food and entertainment, very nice staff. For the best experience BOOK THIS CAMP
The owner Salman (and his brother) really understands how to satisfy his guests. He goes the extra mile in everything. He is kind, honest, he helpt us when we got stranded at night, he offert us to stay at his house if our family could not find a place to sleep. He took us to see how to milk a camel and drink tea. He makes sure everyone has a great time and he really enjoyes it. We stayd 2 nights and he was the only full camp during Ramadan, all other camps were struggling for customers. That says enough. Last year we also came to his camp and he gave us the best time again. (And we visited 3 orher camps so we know what we talk about).

Czech RepublicThe camp itself was basic but nice, our tent was big enough and had a heater and extra blankets. We managed to spend a whole day with Beyond Wadi Rum guy on a jeep tour they arranged. After we made a booking here we got a message from them with all the programs and activities they offer. Once we reached Wadi Rum village on the day of our arrival we visited Salman and booked and paid the activities we chose. Everything was smooth. Dinner and breakfast also good. Definitely recommended!

United KingdomThe whole experience was unique from our pick up in Wadi Rum to meet Salman at his house, he is the perfect host. Our guide Mohammed could not have been better. Out into the desert to various locations of interest until a quiet contemplation at sunset. Back to camp for a wonderful dinner, star gazing, and a comfortable nights sleep in the tent room. The food was great. The trip is unique but the star of the show is undoubtedly the beauty and grandeur of the desert.
