Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe two breakfast main areas were fully occupied and crowdy, we could receive the breakfast in the Hamam area (with spectacular view on Dead Sea). But the buffet and beverage zone there was smaller (less options I assume), so we needed to ask the waiter if we wanted anything (eg, juice, pancakes). Which was okay, but sometimes we needed to wait a little or felt disturbing because these waiters where so buzzy with cleaning tables and helping others. But thumbs up for the cooking team and waiters. As we checked out on time, we did not have the opportunity anymore to access the inside pool and facilities for free anymore (which was a little bit sad). Just a reminder for us, to enjoy this before we check out the room. Luckily we could still use all the outdoor facilities
Extremely polite and helpfull staff, very attentive poolguards Nice adult areas in the swimming pool Overal feeling of clean environment Close to the private beach This hotel also have some guests who puts their towels on the laying beds at the swimmingpool but dont show up for the half of the day or dont use the extra beds for their children... We had the feeling that the staff keeps an eye on this, and when someone wants to lay somewhere (and the bed is occupied for a long time), the staff cleans the bed and can provide you with a sun - umbrella. Just feel free to ask!

SwedenThe workers speak Arabic to us even though we spoke English back. The bed was incredibly bad and old that the springs came out and tore us while we slept. We were never asked if we wanted all inclusive, not even when we met the reception. Even so, we are thankful we missed it because the food was a disaster. Signs for allergens were missing, nor were the ingredients of the dish we were eating. The waitresses don't understand cutlery language and took our plates while we went to get another thing. For a 5 star hotel, it was disappointing with the communication as people neither understand nor speak English which is the world language. So pricy. We are so disappointed. It should be 3-4 star at max.

United KingdomThe drink prices. £17 for two lagers and they weren't even pints is beyond a rip off.
Loved the pool area and really good selection for breakfast. Great access to private beach area where you can do the traditional mud covering and float in the dead sea.

FranceThe room wasn’t very clean, we found traces of something brown and thick on the bathroom trash (we’d rather not think about what it was), the sink of our tub wasn’t working at all, so I tried taking off the thing that blocks the water : turns out it was stuck good because it was pretty dirty underneath. Also, we struggled to turn the water on and change the temperature in the tub. And that’s just a small account of what we didn’t like.
The stay was fine and we had a good time. We particularly enjoyed the beach and the “only adults” swimming pool with a vista on the Dead Sea. The room was spacious and cosy. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing !

United KingdomDinner was a bit of a let down. We could either have the buffet for 27JOD per person (approx £60 altogether!) which felt very expensive for what it was, or order room service which was much cheaper with a good varied menu. We opted for room service which would've been fine except the menu was inaccurate (item pricing). The staff got our order wrong, and then blamed the menu for being wrong, but still asked us to pay for the extra meal that we hadn't ordered. It was eventually sorted it out but not without a small argument first. This was quite disappointing and put a bit of a damper on the night.
We had a great stay at Crowne Plaza Dead Sea. My partner and I chose to stay for a night to enjoy the Dead Sea access and it was well worth it. The Dead Sea was magical, there was free mud to cover ourselves with, shower facilities, towels etc. The pools were also fantastic - an adults' only pool with a bar and sunset view, and a huge all-welcome pool separately. We were offered a free upgrade and had a great room with a little terrace where we could sit in the evening. The included breakfast was fantastic and worth it - huge variety, hot and cold, high quality food. The parking felt very safe.

CanadaStaff were uniformed when restaurants and pools opened and closed. We showed up a couple times to find them closed and Not all restaurants were open.
Resort had plenty of seating around the pools and the beach. We took advantage of the adults only pool as it has a bar we could get drinks at. The main big pool did not have theirs open. The resort itself is beautiful.
