How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I arrived super late but was happy to have been greeted by Rakan. He was very hospitable from the beginning and made for an enjoyable start to my Jordanian trip. The hotel is in a great central location and has the basics you need for what you're paying. I enjoyed my stay.

It needs a real scrub and cleaning but if you’re a broke backpacker can’t beat this price. Property could charge $1 more and hire another cleaner then this place would be top notch.
The Manager, Rakan was fantastic! So helpful and was always making me laugh and laugh! I booked one night and stayed for 3 based on how friendly the manager was with my local transport questions and fun chats about Jordanian life over tea and food. Good breakfast and exceptionally fair price. Excellent location and heater in room for the cold nights in Amann.

The room wasn't the cleanest, not sure the bedding had actually been washed
The owner was very helpful and a great a guy! Reception always available and super nice! Breakfast was also tasty!

Well, its pure example standard/price ratio. if you don't expect luxury and want to save some money then this place is good, it's very close to great cheap restaurant and akkaba fortress. Despite of standard, the place was acceptable clean, if you dont count some dust on furnitures which you would never use anyway. What is important for me, bed and bathroom were clean so i dont care about the rest. The staff is super friendly and helpfull and definitely worth to recommend. If you want to stay anywhere for one night before/after airplane this is the place worth to consider especially if you value budget over luxury.

Bathrooms could use a bit of maintenance, and cleanliness was so so, but this is a budget hotel. in other words, I did not expect it to be the Ritz. However, the laundry service was way too expensive for its quality, and would recommend to improve it. They were nonetheless transparent about it from the beginning.
The location is great, and all of the staff that attended us were very kind and welcoming, giving us tips on the city even.

room, bathrooms and showers could be cleaner.
Great location in the city centre close to restaurants, shops, monuments, museums and public transport. The staff are very friendly, helpful and speak good English. Wi-Fi was good.

Comon bathrooms was bit less atractive but usable. Hot shower is not turned on all time so time your showers.
Location is amazing, guy at reception is super nice and helpfull. Prrice was very good too.

Not enough place to store your belongings, we weren't full, but it might be a problem. Not so easy to find 😅
Very kind people always willing to help and answer whatever question you have. Also, responding very fast and open to any kind of restriction (diets etc). Very good halva in the morning 😋 For the price, given my previous experience worn another hostel in the corner, it is absolutely he best place to stay for a night or two when in Amman. 10 minutes to the Citadel, 0 minutes to the city center.
