Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere were no pots or other means to heat water in the kitchen. So we couldn't have coffee or tea for breakfast even though the host gave us free 3in1 packets. We departed early on a Friday morning so there was no way to resolve this situation.
The apartment was spacious, convenient to Petra, and the host and family were very attentive to our needs.

SlovakiaThe kitchen was not 100% functioning, but the truth is that we did not need it that much.
The host was superb, very helpful and he resolved the issues we had with the facilities in our flat. The breakfast was excellent and we also had dinner with the host. I definitely recommend the stay here.

EstoniaThe water pressure in the shower could have been a little better. But this was indeed a minor concern for us.
The host is very accommodating and extremely caring. We got a free upgrade to a larger apartment - we even did not ask for it. He gave us all the advice we needed. For example, how to find the Wadi Musa shopping area with a good set of restaurants, etc. The apartment was spacious, with a large kitchen and a decent living room. It was good to have the internet available. The breakfast was pre-delivered to us on the previous evening due to Ramadan. It contained all one would like to eat in Jordan for breakfast.

HungaryThe apartment was a bit cold in February, the 3 AC inveters are insufficient to heat such a big space.

RomaniaThe view from the vicinity was totally unpleasant (building under unfinished construction, unsanitary yards, improvised stables for horses, etc.). The kitchen was a very bad joke for our group who wanted to self-catering. Just empty furniture. We did not find kitchen towels, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery (for these we had to ask expressly and we got them, for the rest we gave up!). Not even a table and the fridge felt like it was going to fall every time we used it. The bathrooms always looked dirty due to the washable paint on the ceiling that was peeling and constantly falling off everywhere. The table in the living room where we all ate had a broken piece of glass stuck with adhesive tape, unpleasant when there is also a small child. The cleanliness left much to be desired. As a recommendation, the towels should not all be exactly the same color and size. In general, the focus is only on the functional, sometimes even to the limit. There are no shops nearby. The grade we gave is a compromise for which we took into account the region with its customs/traditions, the area in which the location is and the potential of the apartment. The kitchen facilities, the degree of comfort and satisfaction, according to European/Western standards and demands, should have been scored lower.
Quiet area, very generous with space apartment (it seems we got an apartment with one more bedroom than the one booked), two bathrooms, very friendly and very attentive hosts to all our requests, very sufficient breakfast with local specifics. As the water could not be drunk, we received a box of water from the house. US Dollars are also accepted for payment. For those interested, the location is approximately 25-30 min. walking distance from the entrance to Petra Ancient City (we used a rental car to get there and parking was free).

We book an entire 3-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with a kitchen for our group of 6 people. This is a very nice apartment in the heart of Wadi Musa. The rooms were clean and the kitchen has everything we need for our 2 night stay to explore Petra. The hosts, Zaid and his brother, were the best. They were very welcoming and willing to help with anything. Due to our large group, Zaid let us use one of the bathroom in the room downstairs for showing so we didn't have a long line waiting for each other. We also a delicious traditional Bedouin dinner prepared by Zaid's mother at the hotel for a very reasonable price. Parking was free in front of the hotel. Location is great, only 5 mins drive from the Petra visitor center.

RomaniaThe location is very good, the apartment is only 5 minutes driving from Petra Visitor Centre. The apartment was nice, clean and very confortable (the perfect mattress, good WIFI, nice terrace). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a guest would need. Free parking in front of the building. Zhaid and staff were wonderfull and also ready to help (Thank you for everything). We were completely pleased with our stay. When coming back to Petra, we will surely choose the same accomodation, as it was more than perfect! :)

AustriaSuch a lovely place. The owner Zhaid and his brother welcomed us so kindly! The apartment is super clean, but for me the service of the staff stood out the most. They really want to make sure that you have everything you need. We also choose to dine at the Juniper House. For 10JD you get 2 drinks, 1 yoghurt, and a big homemade plate of rice and chicken made in a traditional Jordanian way by the owners mother. It was delicious!! The breakfast is brought to the apartment in the evening, so one can get up early to avoid crowds at Petra. Cannot recommend this place enough! Would definitely book again ☺️

IndiaAll was perfect. Small problems were instantly fixed. Very steep way to Petra visitors complex but that is common across Petra.
Zaid the manager was so friendly and helped us in planning. In giving good and right suggestions. The apartment is big with comfortable sofa and beds. hot water was available always. Food was great. I asked for a customised breakfast Zaid helped for that with no extra charge.

FranceIf I have to say one thing, maybe the fact that the bath was broken so couldn’t give a bathtub to the children. But they had a shower instead!
Like every place I have been in Jordan, the people are just the best and make the experience and your stay feel like home! Location was also very good as it was 4min to Petra main gate. We had diner one night and it was delicious and we had more than enough! Definitely worth straying it to have diner there! We took the lunchbox we are quite nice of not a little bit expensive. But maybe that’s just because the dinar is a strong currency! Couple of things weren’t working or were broken In the flat when we arrived, but it didn’t take them long to fix it all so that turns into a positive! The boss made sure of it!

United KingdomThe property has an excellent location. Our apartment was lovely - good size and with all necessary facilities. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, the owner was very helpful, approachable and with food sense of humour🙂.I highly recommend dinner that they offer -cooked within an hour - good option for people who had a busy day and would like food that is authentic and tasty but are too tired to find a good restaurant in Wadi Musa. The restaurant at the property has an amazing view of the city so you cam take wonderful picture at night. We stayed for 5 nights there and we were very pleased with our choice.

United KingdomWe stayed with our family of 5. The staff were absolutely brilliant. We felt safe the whole time and the staff went out of there way to make visiting Petra easy and comfortable. The hotel offered free rides to and from the visitors centre. They even offered a free ride for when we wanted to go eat somewhere or go to the exchange . The rooms are HUGE ! With a private balcony. It was brilliant playing football with the kids on the front drive where local kids got involved too. Breakfast is authentic and just perfect to start a day of adventure. I've already recommended friends and family to stay here when they visit .

SwitzerlandThere was a huge kitchen but it had nothing in it (nothing on the cupboard like cups or plates). We didn’t need to use the kitchen so it wasn’t a problem for us, but if someone expects to be able to self-cater, it wouldn’t be possible.
Zaid was super helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome and right at home. Location from Petra is great. It’s on a hill so you need a taxi from Petra to get up to it. The apartment was very spacious and full of character. The food and rooftop restaurant were a great experience also. Nice that they deliver breakfast to the room for people who need to leave early
