Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongThe hotel and its facilities are old, but luckily it is comfortable and there are no bugs. But the toilet stinks so much. The lid needs to be down all the time to prevent the smell from coming out. And the shower is a bit hard to use. I am not sure if it’s my problem, but I didn’t figure out how to get hot water for shower.
The hotel is around a 5-min drive from Petra Visitor Center — which is convenient! The host Ali is a very nice, kind and helpful man. He loves to make jokes and he takes good care of the traveller! He even woke up early to make breakfast for me, how sweet!

Australiathe breakfast was very basic just boiled eggs, bread, and cheese nothing special. the guy who checked us in I’m not sure if he was the owner or the manager he was the only person we spoke to the whole time he made us extremely uncomfortable when we checked in and we almost left to find alternative accommodation. me and 2 friends were travelling together and when we went to check in he singled out my friend and she is tall pretty European and he said can I just speak to you alone and it was very awkward and uncomfortable I said no I made the booking what is wrong he didn’t notice how uncomfortable we were and then repeated to speak with her alone. then after a while he gave up and asked to speak to my male friend it was very weird and I wanted to leave. he then whispered to my friend he wanted to tell a joke he said ok but us girls didn’t know. then my friend went to the bathroom whilst I tried to check in then he said there we’re red flags on my booking and he had to call someone it was very strange and uncomfortable and it sounded like he wanted to call police. after all this fuss we finally checked in after he apologised and said there is a camera like it was a joke but it wasn’t very funny after travelling 5 weeks in Middle East as white woman it was not a funny joke and even when I told him this he said other foreigners laugh. I wanted to leave but my friends said let’s just stay. I would not come back because of how uncomfortable this man made me and my friends feel on check in.
good location about 20 mins walk to entrance of Petra all down hill so was easy walk. was basic but good value for 2 nights

AustraliaUnderstand that this is a basic guesthouse and not a hotel. The room is basic but clean enough and fine for a night after visiting Petra.
This is a basic but good guesthouse in the centre of Wadi Musa. The highlight was the receptionist Ali who provided great customer service. He also organised our bus tickets to Wadi Rum and even prepared us an early breakfast at 5:30 in the morning as we would leave for the early bus.

RomaniaDinner (10 JOD/person) was good but I would not try it every night. I recommend you the restaurant near my home petra( when you exit, on the right) Lunchbox for Petra(5 jod each). I do not recommend! Not only at this location, but at any location in wadi Musa. Just go at the supermarket and buy whatever you want to eat. Or you can eat inside Petra. It will cost you a little bit more, but it's worth They had AC for heating but it did not work.
Good location Clean room(for Jordan standards). If you are coming from Europe or US, lower your standards Hot water(very important, because in some other locations from Jordan we did not have hot water) Very nice and kind host

BulgariaThe stuff was very nice and helpful. We had not much time for the breakfast but we ordered dinner in the place and it was amazing- big plates with delicious , home prepared traditional food .Definitely worth it for the price. On the next evening the dinner was arranged again by the hotel stuff - cooked on fire in the Little Petra area and it was amazing again. The facilities need renovation but is value for the money. The big plus of the hotel is the location - in the center, near to shops, fast food places , restaurants .. 5 min from the bus station and 10 min walking from Petra entrance

Saudi ArabiaBathrooms are relatively small. Like all over Jordan, breakfast had no variety. Only boiled eggs, jam, butter and cheese. :(
The cleanliness, hygiene, and location are very good. Most importantly, Mr. Ali at the guest reception was very kind, humble, and helpful. The rates are also very reasonable keeping in view the location and services offered.

GermanyThere is nothing to complain about. The only thing they have to change are the beds. They could need new mattresses. But for the price we paid it was fine. The breakfast could also need a tiny bit more of variety or at least 2 kinds of jams. But still - for the price we paid everything was great and we will definitely come back
The location was great, our room was clean and spacious and we were taken care of in any matters. The staff was super nice and they helped us with everything. They organized a lunch paket for us, made sure we had everything we needed and they were always available if needed.
