Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom- Family-run business with great hosts and great communication via WhatsApp - They picked us up from the Visitors center and helped with all the paperwork that was required to enter Wadi Rum - Food was amazing (breakfast, light lunch, bbq dinner) - Great room, clean with outstanding desert views - We did the 6 hour jeep tour and 1 hour camel ride. Our guide was Mohammad, one of Obeid's sons. We had such a great time with him all day!

ColombiaWe had a great stay, nothing negative to add
The room, the food, the hosts, all very good and recommendable. We had a great time and the place is very welcoming and so are the people there. I cannot understand some of the comments mentioning surprises when it comes to paying the activities or the dinner: Obeid sent us before the list of all activities and their prices and it was all as explained and promised, so very professional. If you want a very local experience with extremely friendly hosts, this is your place. Apart from that the food was amazing and more than you can eat. Perfect stay! Thank you very much!

There is no better way to spend time in wadi rum than in obeid's camp. We spent 4 days in the desert. Obdei's son Mohammed took great care of us. There was a very good meal every evening, plenty of tea, a fire in the communal tent and pleasant get-togethers. The room was great. With its own bathroom and panoramic windows, it exceeded our expectations. We recommend everyone interested in Wadi Rum to visit Obeids camp.

HungaryThis year, we managed to find cheap flight tickets at the beginning of the year, so now four of us returned to Jordan, taking two children with us. Visiting Wadi Rum is an unmissable part of the program. Based on the experience of previous years, we booked accommodation in the Obeid's camp. The afternoon jeep tour was enjoyable: we drove approx. for two hours, Mohammed showed us several interesting sights, he also stopped with us at a places where we asked, the children were able to climb several sand dunes. We could also enjoy the sunset from a point with a great view, although the weather was quite cool at that time. When we got back to the camp, we had a very delicious barbecue dinner, the tasty food and hot tea were good in the cool evening. We sat by the fire in the community tent for a long time, the children also had fun with Mohammed. We booked a four-bed room with a bathroom. The room was comfortable and the warm shower was nice after the long day. Although the night was cold, we did not fell cold under the blankets. In the morning, we started the day by the campfire again, the hot tea and breakfast were good again. Another jeep tour followed, then around noon we were taken back to the visitor center, from where we joined the other tourists and traveled back to Aqaba. Our small group had a great time, we were very satisfied with the program, accomodation and food.

United StatesObeid and his sons are fantastic! The camp had a main dining/gathering room, a cave room (with 4 poster bed) and comfortable tent rooms with en suite bathrooms. We would recommend their camp to anyone staying in Wadi Rum. They were perfect hosts - arranging great experiences (jeep safari, camel ride), serving an amazing dinner (Zarb) & helping us navigate the border in Eilat, and hire a van to drive us to Wadi Rum, Petra and the border. They were so wonderful and we had a great experience in Jordan thanks to them!

IrelandEverything was perfect.
My stay at Obeid's Bedouin Camp was the highlight of my trip to Jordan. The camp is situated in a beautiful part of the Wadi Rum reserve, and the hospitality of the family and staff is spontaneous. Obeid's direct communication with me started before I left for my trip, and he and his family were always accommodating. They made me feel right at home when I arrived at the camp, having picked me up from my hotel in Aqaba. The kettle was always on, and the zarb dinner, prepared in the traditional manner, was so good. The four hour jeep trip through this awesome desert was incredible with the driver and guide Salem, one of Obid's sons, sharing his knowledge of the desert and of the Bedouin way of life and culture He brought fun to the experience with his love of music, which was infectious, with the radio playing what I called Jordanian rock and roll as we drove through the desert. The room was beautifully furnished, spacious, warm, and comfortable with good wifi. I highly recommend this camp for the generous family who run it and for the welcoming, relaxed, and authentic Bedouin experience they provide.

NetherlandsWhile the four hour jeep tour was really nice, the two hour trip was a let down in terms of where you are taken and what there is to see. Additionally, there was a DJ playing extremely loud music at a camp nearby on Friday night...it must have been a huge party...not conducive to feelings of solitude and getting away from everything that you might expect going to the desert. Perhaps not the fault of this camp, but it would be a reason to avoid the area in the future...
Very friendly family run camp... Mohammad was very nice in particular.

HungaryWe had a really nice time at Obeid's camp, it is at a really good location, the view for the desert is super nice from the place. We even got a room upgrade because a tent with private bathroom was available. Obeid's son picked us up from the visitor center, he cooked us really tasty meals and gave us a jeep tour of Wadi Rum. They also helped us catching the bus to Petra. There was also wifi in the camp - I totally didn't expect that

United StatesWe stayed at the cave house, which was comfy and had great views. The hot water was available and due to cool nights we slept well. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. tours were of good value, and we especially liked wadi bashing with our driver Shevjet (sorry if I am mispronouncing his name). The camp is located at one of the most beautiful parts of Rum.

United KingdomThe only thing we did not like about our stay is that it could not, on this occasion, be longer but that obviously had to do with our itinerary and not Obeid's gracious hospitality. However, one additional point to add is that, as environmental aware travellers, we would highly encourage this hotel (and its fellow Egyptian hotels) to reduce the use of single-use plastics (especially water bottles and plastic straws), re-use its materials, and to recycle its waste as much as possible. It would help preserve the beautiful Wadi Rum environment in a sustainable way and could also help attract environmentally aware travellers such as ourselves.
This was a fantastic experience for my partner and me. There are so many bedouin campsites to choose from on Booking.com and TripAdvisor so it is difficult to distinguish amongst them. We would say that what makes Obeid's site most unique is that his is a family-run site in which they take great pride and pleasure. Obeid and his sons are evidently dedicated to sharing their bedouin culture and the lovely sights of Wadi Rum with their guests in a genuine, not a mass commercial way. The highlights of our stay included the zarb (not carb!) dinner ( zarb is essentially a dish of vegetables and meat, like lamb, slow-cooked in an underground pit that is the Bedouin answer to barbecue) and the guided tour in a jeep of certain Wadi Rum sites. The cave guest room was also a unique highlight. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Obeid, to his two sons Neyir and Mohammed (whose Bedouin dinner, breakfast and juice were brilliant) and to his grandsons. They made us feel very welcome in an unforgettable setting.

United KingdomObeid and Mohammed were very helpful to us throughout our trip. They went above and beyond to organise our transport and offer advice on travelling in Jordan. The camp itself was a unique place to stay and experience traditional Bedouin living, including traditional food. Highly recommend staying here for beautiful desert views in the day and stars at night. We really cannot say enough good things about this experience, you must stay here if you come to Wadi Rum!

United StatesThe only negative of my stay was that I did not know enough Arabic to follow the conversation with some of the other guests!
I liked the coziness and the ambience of the camp was exceptional. I did not visit any other camps in Wadi Rum but I think Obeid's camp is a more authentic Bedouin experience than many of the others. I also enjoyed the Bedouin coffee very much as well, I may have drank more than all the hosts combined.
