Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaRoom was quite dirty, especially under the bed - empty food containers and dust bunnies. Bathroom was also dirty. There was a strong cigarette smell. Opening the windows helped, but when we got cold and turned on the A/C it smelled even worse. No shower curtain so everything in the bathroom gets wet. No amenities or frills, which we expected, but compared to other budget hotels in Jordan this one is REALLY no frills.
Great location close to restaurants, supermarkets etc. About 25 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from Petra visitors centre. Breakfast was good, although the second day we were missing some things and the owner weirdly refused to give us more pita? Possibly a miscommunication. Room is big and the view from the window was great. Shower was always hot, which is a blessing after a long day exploring Petra. Easy to find parking on the street outside. Owner was responsive and helpful before we arrived.

ItalyThe room was not so clean (but aligned with standard in Jordan) and we didn't get our towels changed the 2nd day.
Very good position in Wadi Musa center. Very close to most of the restaurants, no problems in finding car parking. Hotel host was very kind and nice, breakfast was very good (on rooftop with an amazing view).

ItalyThe location is really good. The view from our room was stunning, we could enjoy amazing sunrises and sunsets. Easy to find. The staff, Omar, is a super helpful guy: he helped us a lot with local tips to get around and to catch local buses on the way to Amman. Very friendly and welcoming.

The location is reliable and easy to get screws with many restaurant, mosque and nice places that surrender the hotel. The host Omar is really kind and friendly, ready to help and to give good advices. The room is perfect furnished with air conditioning.

PortugalThe breakfast is not 3JOD as said in booking is 4JOD. When asked about this difference we were told that they had improved the breakfast and for that the value was different. The breakfast took long time to make (we asked to be ready at 7:15 and only started eating at 8). The eggs were raw at first, we had hummus (we asked 3 times to fill it up because it was such small quantity), some cheese, honey, apricot jam and naan. We were hungry after this. The windows are paper thin and cold and wind get in. The sheets had bread crumbs and the carpets in the bedroom were disgusting.
The location is good and when we asked to get the breakfast value reimbursed they were comprehensive.

BelgiumThe staff is constantly pushing to sell you extras like dinner, lunchbox, etc. Then quoting a price and after that charging another price. Also did never give me the change after promising he would. The rooms ate simply disgusting , uncomfortable. Old is one thing. Dirty is another thing. Sheets ate grey, the carpet has cracks in it and it's covered with dust. So are the dinner tables upstairs on the rooftop.
Nothing good to say about this place other than it is in the middle if local life, with a more modern location for dinner nearby.

United KingdomThis hotel needs to be taken down and redone again thats how bad it was. The room was disgusting, pieces of carpet put in, beds were like bricks, door looked like it had been kicked in a few times and damn the shower I have no words was the worst, disgusting site ever. The host wasn't helpful at all, was rude and a pervert. This was more a brotherl then a hotel, you walk into the reception with loads of men sitting and smoking. This was worst experience ever and should not even be on the website. It doesn't even deserve a 1.

ChinaThe manager of this place is super friendly and he will give you a lot of good advice like where to get the best shwarma in town at the local price. The hotel is also very cozy with an enclosed balcony upstairs with great views of the city at night, which is very beautiful. Thanks for a welcoming stay.
