Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing he’s thought about everything, I can tell the owner has spent 30 years in the tourism industry
The room was extremely comfortable. The little details made it a pleasant stay from the smart switches and comfortable furniture to the quality shower and breakfast on offer. This was one of our best stays in Petra. Rashed in reception helped us with anything we needed and arranged everything for us. Eid the owner we spoke to for 30 mins, really was personable and wanted us to comfortable. I would 100% recommend for luxury at a great price

CanadaNothing - everything was amazing!
One of the best stays in a hotel ever. The manager and staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. They bent over backwards to make our stay a good one. The room was great, the food in the restaurant was great and the Petra visitors centre was literally one block away. The restaurant staff were so friendly - they called us into the kitchen and taught us how to make Bedouin tea. We have been on a 30 day trip to 4 different countries and have stayed in many four and five star hotels - and this little boutique hotel was one of our best stays!

GermanyIn particular we liked the warm welcome and good tips given by Rashid. We can strongly recommend to follow his guidance about how to come to the Dead Sea with Falah. As well Rashids taking care to make feel as comfortable, and part of the family, was highly appreciated by us.

GermanyThe breakfast was decent - but not super great. Not too many options. The lunch box with 8 JOD is too expensive for what you get. The light switches in our room were super bright at night and some dissent work!
Nice staff and quiet rooms.

The staff and the people are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet. I had such a pleasant experience. The manger of the hotel and a female friend of his, whom I did not know drove me to several stores to help me find a sports bra. How amazing is that right lol? You can’t get that kind of service from concierge at a 5 star hotel. It meant so much to me. The location is just perfect. Also the Turkish spa next door is awesome for a Turkish bath. Rooms are big and comfortable.

United Arab EmiratesRashed - the guy at the reception was extraordinary. He is truly amazing, always paying attention to details and trying to make each and every single guest feel welcome in his country and hotel. While waiting at the reception, he offered a small gift to a guest who was celebrated the bday there. For me and my brother - he went out of his way to recommend us places to visit and eat and triple check we are good and happy. Hotel is quite nice and clean, breakfast was good as well, plenty of options and friendly staff, nice view from 5th floor.

United KingdomEverything went very well until the last day when I got food poisoning, must have have been from the Pasta in the restaurant I had for lunch (it was very slimy and yucky too) and was then effectively held hostage the next morning by the receptionist who said I hadn't paid when I most certainly had, in advance , via Booking, but he didn't understand that I was showing my banking app and the booking app to clearly prove this. I was also very weak with food poisoning to have to stand up and argue and could have done with being able to get on the road. I suggest choosing the 'pay later ' option on Booking to avoid this issue. This massively delayed our journey back and meant we arrived in Amman in the dark and late for returning the hire car. I also think they should just remove the pasta from the menu as it was quite horrible and so sloppy that I suspect I got a bit of water in there that gave me a bad tummy .
Overall I was really happy with the hotel until the last day when we were told we had not paid. The evening time receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. The room was very clean and comfortable and spacious, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Bathroom was lovely. Very generous and nice toiletries. We had all the equipment and things we needed. Hotel felt safe and was in a great location to walk down to the Petra Visitor centre .

United StatesBreakfast is basic. Can be improved.
Is a nice Hotel, excellent location. Just 150mts from Petra Visitor’s Centre. The owner is very nice and always available. They were very kind with us as we requested breakfast at 5:30am and they were ok. (Breakfast starts at 6:30am). Nanny service was very good at 10 JOD per hour or 60 JOD p/day. It was an amazing option to do the Monastery on our second day alone as kids were very tired from the day before. Overall was an amazing experience. Well recommended. The restaurant on site (5th floor) was very good and the Chef super nice. Don’t go to the restaurants close by, they are mainly tourist traps.

GermanyNo garden or pool, where one can spend the time after having visited Petra. This is something we would have appreciated, in retrospective.
This hotel is just a stone's throw away from the entrance to Petra, which is very comfortable, especially as we were traveling with kids. The rooms we were allocated first (1st floor, to the backyard) were dark and had a strange cut; we asked for other ones and our wish has been honored. The new rooms were large, light and spacious, facing the street (earplugs recommended); the furnishing, electronics and the aircon were all brandnew and modern. Breakfast buffet abundant. Altogether very good price for value.
