How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Absolutely Nothing
Mr.Mohammad is an exceptional host. I have been to multiple places but he is the best host we have ever come across. Property is perfect for the Petra tours and has got all required facilities. Parking is spacious. Mr.Mohammad is making all efforts to ensure one has a memorable trip. We feel lucky to choose this place as our stay. Thank you again.

Everything was perfect.
The hotel had an amazing view of the city. Mohammed is the best! He takes care of everything you might need, he gave us the best advices to go around. The room was immaculate, provided with everything we needed. One of the best places we have stayed in Jordan. Totally recommended.

Mohammed is the perfect host! He was super welcoming and gave us precious advice to make the most during our short time visiting Petra. There is the possibility to have dinners and breakfasts (the food is very good). The position is perfect as the hotel is just a couple of minutes by car from Petra visitors parking. There are free parking lots at the hotel, as well. Guys, keep traveling to Jordan! Not only it is wonderful and welcoming, but most importantly very safe.

Didnt dislike anything as the expectations weren't high.
The owner Mohammed was very friendly and helpful during my stay. He introduced me to a fellow visitor George who arrived on the same day as me. We spent the 2 days trekking Petra. The hotel guest house is great value for money on want you are getting and suitable for persons looking for economical travelling.

The pillows were quite hard and mattress very creaky.
Wonderful host who was very helpful at suggesting Petra itineraries and taxi drivers to get around. Hot water in shower, and great view from the room.

Shower was too hot!
No more than a five minute drive from the main Petra entrance it was very convenient. We were offered dinner when we arrived which we took up - big feast for 40 dinar (five of us) so delicious and affordable. We were also helped with our trip the next day and they ordered a taxi for us and helped us with our walking route round petra. Great hotel.

Muhammad is a legend, such a kind man that went out of his way to be hospitable & helpful. The hotel was incredibly clean. The room was perfect for our needs. Plenty of hot water. Kettle & big fridge in the room. Food was amazing!!

Room 209 was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We had a wonderful view of Wadi Musa. Delicious breakfast. Muhammed, the owner, is a true gentleman. We had two full days at Petra UNESCO site, and thanks to his knowledge and guidance, we made the most of every minute. I would highly recommend this hotel only a short taxi ride from Petra visitors centre. Muhammed will arrange a taxi at a fair price for you.

A very warm welcome, very nice and helpful (especially concerning the planning of the two days for sightseeing in Petra) people, who fluently spoke english ... and the homemade and tastefully dinners and breaktfasts :-)! The view from the room was great; the parking place was directly located in front of the Hotel.

Everything was perfect! Just keep in mind that the hotel is about 5 min driving from the visitor center, so it might be tricky to reach on foot. However, the owner of the hotel will organize alternative transportation, in case you may need it.
The best location you can dream of while visiting Petra in Jordan! The owner treated us as the most welcomed guests. He gave us recommendations on how to visit Petra to avoid crowds and be able to enjoy the place in peace and without spending fortune - we will be always grateful for that! We have booked dinners at the hotel and thus we were able to enjoy typical Jordanian cuisine. Moreover, we have received recommendations for the rest of our stay in Jordan, which we have followed and enjoyed to the maximum. If there’d be one hotel to stay in Jordan, it should be Petra Guest House - very strongly recommended!

We loved the hotel owner Muhammad! He was so welcoming and made us feel like family as well as providing so much information to help us get the most out of our stay, particularly planning route maps around Petra to help us see everything during a limited time.

Location, the view and the owner was just wonderful. We had the most wonderful stay at Petra Guests Hotel. We even stayed an extra night! The rooms were perfect for us. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, the traditional food was delicious. We will be forever grateful to the owner Mohammed, he looked after us like his family. Be sure to be given the best advice for visiting Petra and any advice for the rest of your travels in Jordan. We would highly recommend staying here.

The owner was super friendly and understanding, accommodated us and even offered lots of information on what to visit in the city and in Petra. The rooms were clean, with functional AC, comfortable and the showers were well cleaned. Parking was accessible and private, which was appreciated. Nothing to complain about, I recommend!
