Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThe room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, found some trash from previous guests. The sofa smelled of sweat.
With many tourists scared off by the tensions in the region, this hotel was almost empty. Focusing solely on the impressions as a guest, this was absolutely wonderful. With the whole beach and pool area to ourselves, we had a greatly relaxing stay. Great view of the sunset. The facilities are beautiful and clean. Delicious food and friendly staff.

NetherlandsBeautiful! Very clean and comfortable. The hotel was still under construction, so we probably got a pretty good deal moneywise (it was very affordable). Beach access from the hotel, the restaurant and terrace is great and very friendly staff.

IndiaPorto Dead Sea is a excellent picturesque located resort. It is spotless clean, and well equipped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The private beach of the property is very good and the sunset is a majestic and beautiful sight to behold. The resort rooms are sea facing and it's an excellent apparent with well equipped fitness. Also offers the famous Dead Sea mud bath experience inclusive of the stay.

United KingdomFlies around pool. Loud music (not our taste) playing out of speakers all day.
Recommended. Ideal for a one or two night stay to visit Dead Sea, car needed to visit sites away from hotel. Hotel has own access to beach on Dead Sea, cordoned off safe bathing area, with mud tub and shower close by. Room was clean and fully functional; comfortable bed; toiletries provided; food in restaurant was of good standard (breakfast portion was huge but staff were happy to box up to take away). Very friendly and helpful staff; like most people we met in Jordan, nothing too much trouble, just ask!

United KingdomI asked a separate extra duvet - my request has not been accomplished. Me and my mother had same duvet and it was very thin. I was very cold. Also I wonder what is the point of having a kitchen if there is nothing in it. Not even a jug to boil an egg or to cook a real coffee. No frying pan and no nothing, Altogether kitchen is useless unless you bring your own cooking gear with you. Very disappointed with this to be honest
I loved the views.

RomaniaWe were checked upon entering the hotel to ensure that we did not have any food or drinks in our luggage. I don't understand why the equipment in the kitchens of the apartments still exists... The hot water in the shower was not hot enough. A lot of flies outside, even though I saw that they were disinfecting with special nebulizers.
Apartment with very large rooms with two bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the Dead Sea. The rooms were very clean, comfortable beds. The apartment is equipped with a very large diagonal smart TV, stove, oven, water heater. The pool and the beach areas are very clean and modern. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were very tasty. Nearby is the Dead Sea beach equipped with showers, deckchairs and towels. Access to the pool and the beach is free.

PolandI was a bit surprised because the kitchen is not equipped with plates, pots or pans.
There is a pleasant beach and direct access to the sea. Lifeguards collect mud that is later accessible for all the guests. Very good restaurant, we had breakfast and dinner - it was worth it! The apartment itself is very comfortable and nice.

SwedenThe hotel is not finished! Only about 1/5 is actually done and even a lot of that looks old and tired now. There are a lot of cracked tiles around the pool and missing ones in the pool. It was a shame because the final finish has let the rest of it down quite a bit. The room was more like an apartment and big enough but there was no space in the bedroom to open a suitcase.
The hotel is very close to the Dead Sea, just a few metres from the pool area. There was Dead Sea mud available (that was fun) plus showering facilities so you could remove the saltwater as soon as you got out. The staff were very helpful especially in the restaurant. The food was good and varied.

Czech RepublicThe construction still not finished (will it ever be?), it's shame. Breakfast not included. And prohibition of bringing food and drink doesn't make any sense. But overall we were satisfied and would recommend this place.
The Dead sea experience was great. Hotel clean, nice view, good dinner. Everybody very welcoming and kind to our little daughter. She loved the pool. Good price comparing to other hotels.

GermanyThe music which is played at the pool area is way too loud and only stops shortly before 11pm. The Internet connection in our room was really poor. We just had a signal in one corner.
The room was spacious and clean. The food was good as well. Really great was the mud treatment at the beach. The guy was extremely friendly and helpful

CyprusWe were unaware when booking that the hotel is undergoing a massive renovation and extension process so the main hotel building is fine but off the sides and right in front of the pool(the little walk down to the Dead Sea is a building site. It didn’t really effect our stay as we were able to look past it but that’s the only reason I put not good value for money as it is essentially an active building site.
The staff were fabulous, very friendly and met our every need ! The restaurant was also really tasty, good to try proper authentic food and really good value. The room was a really good size and really nice.

GermanyThe building was not fully finished yet. It took some time to digest the feeling of staying at a place that is partly still a construction site.
In comparison to other locations at the Dead Sea (Jordan Side) this place has got 3 things that really make for a great experience: 1) The view (all rooms have sea view!) 2) The proximity to the beach (about 3 Minutes from your bed) 3) relaxed yet helpfull staff

AustraliaThe rooms for hotel guests are located in the building that forms a third part of the whole hotel complex which is still under construction. The rates for a room consider this fact and thus are more affordable than other resorts. Though construction works did not disturb our peaceful and relaxing stay in any way.

GreeceThe quality of the materials and the craftsmanship at the apartments is average to say the least. Hardly finished, they already show wear and tear.
One of the many resort hotels at the Dead Sea, still under construction, but the operational parts are fully functional (such as rooms, pool, restaurant, beach). Huge comfortable apartments, although rushly made. Half prices in comparison to other 5* resorts. Very helpful and kind staff. Good prices at the restaurant, no need to eat outside.
