How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A wonderful stay with Eileen's family. It was a perfect stay. I liked everything. I also highly recommend it. The dinner was wonderful. They serve the traditional Bedouin dinner called the Bedouin zarb.

When we arrived at Siwar Luxury Camp, we were welcomed by Ziad, our guest, with juice, water, and Bedouin tea. The room was nice and clean. Everything about it was beautiful. We took a jeep trip for a full day in which we saw the beautiful heritage areas and concluded it with a beautiful sunset between the mountains of Wadi Rum. There was also a traditional Bedouin dinner that takes place. It is underground cooking. I recommend it to everyone. Yum yum yum. It is very delicious 😂 I recommend it very much. Thank you, Ziad. He is our friend now in Wadi Rum.

The camp location is excellent, facing the sunrise. The bubble is comfortable. Ziad was very kind. He helps us with everything and recommends if you need anything. All you have to do is send a message and all your requests will be met. Thank you for the good hospitality.

It is one of the most wonderful hotels. Everything is perfect, cleanliness, good location, reception (especially Ziad and his brother), well-decorated rooms, food (the employee, Osama, is very expansive and energetic and has a sweet soul), quick response and many inclusions. Ziad received us in the parking lot and the reception was very warm. He took us to our tent, which was very comfortable. Then we went to the jeep trip. It was 6 hours. It was very wonderful. Then we went to the camp at dinner time. The dinner was delicious Jordanian style. I loved everything. I recommend it.

I went to Wadi Rum alone and searched on Booking. I was happy in my choice of this camp, which met all my requests. The reception exceeded my expectations. I went on a beautiful jeep trip. I felt as if I were among my family. Thank you very much, Brother Ziad, for the good hospitality.

Excellent location, wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and a wonderful staff working to serve the visitors’ oasis and increase everything it requires. I strongly advise. There are a lot of campgrounds, but I'm really glad I chose this one. More of an authentic Bedouin tent than a bubble tent. We were immediately taken from the city and put in a jeep to the camp. Then we chose what tours we wanted to do. At 8pm we had the most wonderful meal, cooked in a traditional way. A beautiful array of food served buffet style. Thank you Ziad.

A beautiful and wonderful place. The reception was beautiful. The staff were welcoming. We felt like we were at home very comfortable. The prices for the activities were very reasonable. Everything was like me, I loved the place
Very affordable. The buffet had plenty of salads and vegetarian options. People were very friendly. Big thanks to our guide Ziad and his brother who took us on a jeep ride and his absolutely wonderful employer. We will come again

My stay at Wadi Rum Siwar Luxury Camp was very wonderful. The camp has an atmosphere Private and intimate, you truly feel like part of the host family. She was The tent is spacious and very clean with a private bathroom A balcony where you can enjoy a wonderful view overlooking Wadi Rum Get breakfast, lunch and dinner that are homemade and homemade, You can choose between different types and duration of tours. I had a morning jeep tour and a stargazing tour, they were both really great very welcoming and do everything they can to make you feel at home and cater to your needs. I will definitely return to Swar Luxury Camp if back in Wadi Rum.
