Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery friendly hosts who went out of their way to make us feel at home! The camp is in a great location a little way from the village with a spectacular view! We also had a great tour seeing the sites. Shaba (apologies for spelling) was very kind to us throughout!

To start with, Salem is an excellent host and a very multi talented person who plays the instrument, exceptional host and wears many other hats. Staffs were really friendly and treated us to traditional Bedouin food (Abdullah was a great chef!) accompanied by music and dancing and introducing us to Bedouin hospitality .The room is very comfortable and you can see Wadi Rum landscape from your big window with own private bathroom. Jeep tour we booked was amazing. Our stay here was our best part of our trip in Jordan and highly recommend staying at this camp!.

United KingdomWe requested to do sandboarding on our jeep tour, was told it would be included, but this wasn't the case. However, our guide Sabah managed to borrow another tour's sandboard so we did get the chance in the end.
Excellent location to see the beauty of Wadi Rum desert, Salem and his staff were really friendly and treated us to traditional Bedouin food (Abdullah was a great chef!), music and entertainment during our stay. Salem was clear in his instructions, pick up was smooth and he gave us tips on how to avoid fake guides. Our guide Sabah was friendly, played Volleyball in the desert and treated us to Bedouin tea with a sunset view. Great value for money, breakfast and dinner were included. Amazing views from the room, could see the stars so clearly. We had the most incredible time!

GermanyCamel tour was paid for 1h, but ended up being only 30 min, even though we confirmed the 1h at the start of the tour. When we mentioned it the worker didn’t know what to do and since we were leaving, we just had to take it.
Super friendly staff, comfortable room set-up with bathroom and shower, huge windows to relax and watch the beautiful landscape, delicious food (dinner was best, breakfast and lunch (10 JD) were decent, but nothing crazy). Low price for the stay, tours (around 10 JD/h) and activities cost extra (camel ride 15 JD for 30 min or 20 JD for 1h).

GermanyMy jeep-tour driver was supposed to be not just a driver but a guide too. Apart from naming the place which we visited and pointing the right direction where to start my trekking, he didn’t provide me any other information. While I wandered around the touristic places, he waited for me in the beduin tents. Quite disappointing. I paid my jeep tour 20 extra JOD because I was alone on the truck. I would have preferred to stay in a group and pay less but nobody offered me this possibility. There are so many Jeep tours running at the same time that I don’t think is so difficult to find a group which I could have joined.
The location is amazing, in the middle of the Wadi Rum protected area. At night, the sky above you is breathtaking! Dinner very tasteful (good quantity and quality) and a lot of fun thanks to the hosts. The room is essential but very cleaned with private bathroom. You’ll find all the blankets you need! The price I paid included accommodation, dinner and breakfast and it was more than fair. The camp has only 5 rooms (some more under construction) so, in my opinion, it is more suitable for couples or families than lone travelers. Usually the latter looks for more crowdy places. Myself, on the opposite, was looking for the magic atmosphere and I really found it when, surrounded by silence and darkness, I raised my eyes towards the sky and the thousands of stars… Unbelievable! Salem, the camp manager, is an honest and kind man. I asked him to have a very early lift back to the visitors center the next morning (at 0530) and my driver was waiting for me at 0515. I hope to enjoy again their good vibes as soon as possible.

United KingdomRoom was very cold, but in the desert in March, what can you expect?! (Plus we each had two blankets, so again, the camp went above and beyond to keep us comfortable)
One of the most amazing experiences - the camp had prepared dinner for us and the other guests, followed by traditional music and dancing. All of the people at the camp were so lovely and accommodating, picking up my mother and I from the bus stop and taking us back the following day. The camp itself was lovely and quiet, only five tents which helped it feel very welcoming. The Jeep Tour was also great.

TurkeyI'm not sure if this would be a negative or positive comment; but there will be no signal and none to little wifi coverage. Please do not think about checking instagram if you want to stay here, this place is to empty your mind, get away from social media.
It was the most unique and authentic experience, wish i could have stayed more. The host and other staff were very welcoming, even though we arrived quite late (about 9-10 pm) they picked us up and took us with their pick-up from the village. Served us dinner and breakfast in the morning too! the room (or tent or camp whatever you call it) was very spacious and the bathroom was incredibly clean!
