Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Comfy accommodations in the middle of Wadi Rum Protected area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and everything was clean and tidy. I did the full day tour and I highly recommended it!! The area is stunning but you really need a tour to discover all the desert wonders. I will 100% come back!!!

BrazilMy stay at the camp was amazing! The place is beautiful and the accommodations are really nice and cozy. Tawfiq, the owner was very nice and made sure everything was perfect. I did the full day tour with the camp and it was definitely one of the greatest experiences ever! Every night they organize a traditional bedouin dinner for the guests and it was very interesting to see how they cook the food which was beyond delicious!! They also have a great spot near the camp to see the sunset which offers the most amazing views of the desert. I definitely recommend Desert Bird Camp to anyone going to Wadi Rum!

The food was traditional and very delicious. IndonesiaThe weather's very cold, but it's okay since we're in the middle of desert during winter time
I like the firecamp session. We met several travellers and share some experience and chit chat in the Bedouin way surrounding the fire. The short Jeep tour also nice and our guide is very funny

If possible, we would like to give Desert Bird Camp even 15 Points! Everything was perfect! Tawfiq is the best and funniest host you could imagine. Mahmoud made the best food, we had during our whole stay in Jordan. Tawfiq's brother showed us Wadi Rum in a perfect Jeep tour. The tents and the bathroom were very clean. Here you can feel at home for a few days staying in an amazing surrounding. Thank you for a perfect stay in Wadi Rum! 200% recommendation!

SwitzerlandThere's no wonder this camp already has a full 5/5 stars rating. Everything was exceptional: from the varied and tasty breakfast and dinner to the comfortable "tents". The hosts were hospitable and friendly and the booked jeep tour was above expectations: being served Bedouin tea while watching the sunset seems to be a scene from a movie.

MexicoWhen looking for Wadi Rum accomodations, there are hundred of options, but this one has all what you need. Is a traditional camp, but confortable and clean. The common area is very nice and the tents have nice beds with an unbeatable view in the center of the valley. The 4x4 tour was also amazing and Tawfiq was very nice, tayloring our tour as we wanted.

NetherlandsThere is a lot of sand ;) Be aware that you are in the middle of the desert so water is sparse and so is a shower.
The atmosphere, the hospitality, the location. It was truly a perfect get a way! We wanted to unwind from our daily (work life) and this is the perfect spot to do so.

I like a lot how close the workers are to the people and organize everything in a way that fits for you. They would accommodate your times and wishes. The tents are amazing and the location is very unique. You can enjoy Bedouin food, the stars and the tours the organise. I recommend staying more than one night since for me it was very short time.

NetherlandsCommunication, safety, jeep tours and most of all the coziness
Stop looking at other camps, this is the place you should book at. Nice, comfortable, good food and great hosts. You can sleep under the stars on a big comfy mattress. They provide plenty of bed sheets and they accommodate everything. I personally was having trouble choosing because every option on booking looks great. This truly was an amazing experience from start to finish😄
