Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI didn’t like that it’s not walking distance to the tourist center but it’s ok.
I like the location because it’s near the tourist center. You need to take a taxi though. It’s near good restaurants. I like the quiet and peace. It’s not noisy and not too many people. I like the room - it’s huge. There is also a kitchen available. The place is very clean. Most of all, Farouq the host is very kind and very helpful. He responds to concerns quickly. He recommends a great restaurant nearby. He even bought me a portable wifi because the wifi in the room is not working. I was able to bring the wifi with me up to the monastery.

Germany- no hangers for towels - disposable paper cups (could use reusable cups instead) - blanket was quite thick for the hot summer temperatures; a thin blanket for summer nights would be enough - bathroom of the private room has a folding door
- hospitality from Omar and his family is out standing; always helpful, sitting on the patio talking to us all night, enjoy late night tea and self-baked cookies; Omar made his signature dessert dish for us and his mom made breakfast that we enjoyed with the whole family - comfy bed (not too big though) - large and soft towels - tea and water in room - fridge - room doesn’t get hot

Sloveniaeverything was fine
Modest, spacious, clean flat with everything you need after a long day of walking in Petra: good bed, bottle of water, tea (or coffee, cappuccino - always available) and peace. Terrace is nice, the flat is close to the center of Wadi Musa with a great falafel place and bakery nearby. Omar is very kind and ready to help: the minibus to Petra was waiting in front of the flat for us. We had a very nice time and we recommend the stay.

SlovakiaThat I am already missing my Jordanian brothers :D
Either because of ramadan or its always like that, but room is very quiet, even though its facing the street. I havent slept so well in whole Jordan so far, as at this place. Clean bedsheets, nice scent in common space. Safe environment, groceries nearby, Petra walking distance. Good value for the price.

United Arab EmiratesGreat place for 1-2 days to visit Petra. Host is so nice kind person, he was ready to help with everything! He met us with fresh dates and cakes from dates :) It was so cold in the house (we were in February), so he brought a heater for us! as well in the room you can find one more warm blanket. So you don’t need to be afraid of cold season. as well he brought both sockets for EU and UK plugs since we have different ones for our iPhones. as well we got advice about the best local small shop where we could get not too high tourist prices. I likes atmosphere in the house. You feel yourself like in the house of your grandmother although the host is young man :) thank you for hospitality!

SloveniaThe name of the place is not shown on the building, so take a good look on the photos here to find it. Orange building, big green door 😁 The light in the hallway is always on, which bothered me a bit during the first night because you can see it from the room.
Nice well equipped apartment in the centre if Wadi Musa. Fifteen minute walk to Petra entrance, 1 minute walk to several supermarkets and restaurants and three minute walk to a bakery. Omar is a really kind and friendly host. He greeted us with tea and also showed us how to prepare traditional dessert kunafa. Had a great discussion about life in Jordan. Definitely recommend the place.

SwedenNothing. Everything was great
Awesome place in Wadi Musa. Comfortable beds, good lounge area, hot shower (not common in Jordan) and fully functional kitchen. The place is really clean. Private parking behind the building. Coffee and tea is complementary and it’s possible to do laundry. Omar is a terrific host that was more than flexible when we needed an early checkin also made us some Arabian coffee in the evening together with some dates and local citrus fruits. It was really nice. We only stayed one night but if we were ever back in the city we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in this apartment with my mum and I can really recommend it. You have your own room and share living room, kitchen and bathroom with people from two other rooms. When we were there, we had tho whole apartment for ourselves and I have to say we really enjoyed it. It's a good value for the money. The owner Omar is also super friendly and kind. Helps you with all the informations and makes sure you feel comfortable. He also invited us for a tea and traditional jordanian cake and we hung out by the fire. We learned a lot about the Jordanian culture and the cake was delicious, he made it 🙂 Thank you Omar again for your hospitality, I definitely recommend this place. You'll get nice accommodation and a true Jordanian hospitality.
