Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This hotel ticks all the 'good hotel' boxes. Great location, good size rooms, clean, decent breakfast But it is made truly exceptional by the manager who goes above and beyond to make everything super efficient and easy.

PolandCleaning would require some improvement, but in general was ok.
Location, very close to city centre, 15-20 minutes by foot, easy parking. Good breakfast. Good place for a short stay in Amman. Nice host, very helpful.

United StatesNothing.
Very small property with a handful of rooms, but it made for a very quiet stay. Very close walking distance to the popular Rainbow Street. Also about 45 minutes walking distance or short Uber/taxi ride to the Citadel and Roman Theater. The owner of the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. He even assisted me with doing laundry for a small fee. There is a nice breakfast spread. Overall the hotel is very clean and I had a very good night’s rest. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is great and it is located in very good part of Aman. The hotel was very clean, the room was super big and comfortable. The owner is extremely polite and good, he was able to help us with anything we needed. He speaks English and is always ready to make you laugh! The tea and coffee were always provided in good quantity, the breakfast was really good, including both Arabic and European kitchen so you can always find something you like! At the and of the day, there's nothing not to like in this hotel! I can't wait to visit Aman again and I would definitely choose The Y Hotel again! Regards from Mister Marko!!! 😁

United KingdomThe only thing I can fault is the TV doesn't have any English channels, but I'm sure most travellers won't be concerned about that
The Y hotel offers a great value accommodation in a central location. You have to understand that Amman is a city built on 7 hills, so you must expect a steep walk to get to the hotel. The rooms are well equipped with tea and coffee, as well as efficient AC. The room was impeccably clean and despite sleeping on a single bed, I was very impressed at how comfy it was. The complimentary breakfast offers a good range of warm and cold items which caters to everyone.

The location is perfect, there is a lot of space for parking. It is not far from the city center but you don’t feel the crowd around neither the noise which is great. Also the workers were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was very good and traditional.

Everything!!! The hotel and the people who run it made me feel like this was my home away from home! The room was so so cozy. The staff was out of this world…I happened to be the only one for breakfast and they made the biggest, most delicious spread I’ve seen to date! I decided to rent a vehicle to tour around Jordan and was given hints and tips about what to/what not to do as well as lovely dinner suggestions! The property is conveniently located where I could walk everywhere to see the sites in Amman.

United KingdomThe room could do with a thorough and professional dusting. We also felt the beds are old and springy, the bed and the pillows were not the best.
The hotel manager (Ayaat?) was incredibly warm, friendly and hospitable. Went above and beyond for us in service and one of the best I have ever experienced. The location was very good and it had parking offroad which was helpful.

United StatesThe shower and faucet water temperature were a bit inconsistent and took a bit to heat up, but still everything was very clean and comfortable!
It was a very cute hotel, more like a BNB, with a very accommodating and hospitable manager/host who is there 24/7. He was very kind and helped give me some local recommendations and always asked if everything was good for me! I loved how quiet the rooms are even being a 10 minute walk from downtown Amman with all the cars and bustling. Really appreciate the blackout curtains as well.
