Not quite luxury, some design flaws e.g the toilet is not fully separate from the bedroom, you can't see the toilet but there is no door in between. Kettle is placed in area without a wall socket.

The rooms are very close to the beach! All staff members are polite and go out of their way to help you.

The interference of flies while dining

Wifi didn't reach the room which was mildly inconvenient but not a big issue. Three of us had paid to have dinner included but 4 dinners were not taken (late arrival, early departure) and we were not allowed to shift one of those to a different person (3 other dinners were allowed to be switched to lunch though). Of course they are absolutely not required to allow that, but it would have been a nice gesture from management. Staff was very friendly and patient about it.

The hotel has a great location right at the beach. The grounds are well kept, rooms are nice (a bit basic but thats okay). Staff is very friendly and really helpful when planning activities.

Reception demanded I pay in USD at check in. I refused on the basis that my booking was in local currency and reception staff forced me to prove it in order to be allowed to pay in Kenyan shilling.

My parents got very sick with the stomachs. Not sure if it was connected to cocktails or food.

I visited the hotel with my parents. We all enjoyed the stay very, very much. Super friendly staff, beautiful bar and restaurant, very close to the beach. Quiet at night, large rooms with very comfy beds. The gymn was also ok, I used it once, dispite the 35 degrees - coz I had justed turned the AC on, one should do that in advance, maybe.

The aircon in the room is blowing cold air straight onto bed, which makes it uncomfortably cold. Some days, the hotel was busy, and there weren't enough umbrellas.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Staff was really friendly, and hotel room was always clean. Hotel is right on the most amazing beach. There is bar and restaurant with the most AMAZING views. We had most relaxing stay here and will be happily staying here again when back in Kenya.

The seafood served was excellent. My wife enjoyed a pleasant massage. Great access to the beach. Friendly staff. Well maintained garden area - green and lush with monkey families and pecan birds. Good pool. Hakuna matata all day!

The bathroom doesnt have a door, which is absurd and uncomfortable. Im not sure why anyone would design a hotel that way. But I wouldnt stay there again nor recommend the hotel because of that. Thats my only complaint but its a deal breaker for me.

Some insects and mosquitos in the room, and toilet flush was not working even though they fixed it once complained. Also the AC in the room has a light that stays all night long.

£ to ksh exchange rate very poor though credit cards accepted with no surcharge.

Only 20 rooms spread across the beach front and well kept grounds and gardens so felt comfortable. Clean beach area directly in front of the hotel but be prepared for the local sellers, though they do take notice if you don't want anything. Very good room size with everything you would need, including a private terrace. Daily cleaning was very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Even served dinner to the room when torrential rain flooded the restaurant, so couldn't ask for better service under the circumstances. Good variety at breakfast and good restaurant meals were well cooked, tasty, well presented and very reasonably priced. Well stocked bar. Lovely large pool situated at the back of the hotel in the garden area with sunbeds and shade. Beach front beds and shade were well spaced out so you didn't feel crowded. There are a few restaurants within easy walking distance if you want a change, though some of them close around 6:30 which was a little too early for us. Safe and quiet area. Would recommend.
