Everything is perfect here - attentive host, clean and modern facilities, stunning ocean views, wonderful food, conveniently located, beautifully furnished apartment, A/C in bedrooms, a balcony we never wanted to leave, and wonderful recommendations for a driver and activities. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our family of five. The three bedroom apartment overlooking the ocean offered numerous expansive views - indoor and outdoor - of the ocean and coastline. KD, the host, was easy to coordinate with from start to finish. We planned a last minute trip to Mombasa with a limited window of time to explore the city. KD made sure we had a reliable driver who also helped to arrange a city tour that went far beyond our expectations. The location is safe and quiet despite being so centrally located. We were able to arrive by train and depart by air without any hassles. The residence is extremely secure with strong doors and windows while also feeling very open and airy. We were able to enjoy privacy in a spacious apartment at a boutique residence while also having breakfast included and other meals available upon request. Mercy is a fabulous chef and miraculously produced a wonderful dinner after an exhausting day of sightseeing. WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay, especially with the extender. Our residence was cleaned daily and was spotless. The bedding and towels were wonderful. The area was quiet at night with the ocean as the only sound. We all wanted to stay longer at the residence to relax and enjoy the view. The resident dogs are adorable. We felt that we were visiting friends in a truly unique and welcoming environment. Thank you KD for a wonderful trip! We look forward to returning soon.

The A.C system although KD did say he is reworking the whole A.C system.with a perfect working A.C in each room and corridors , the apartments will be heavenly. The swimming pool is being upgraded

The apartments are perfectly located along cement Road. Overlooking the indian ocean and from the apartment you can see old mombasa town and Fort Jesus world heritage site across the sea.I enjoyed watching the ship cruise to the port early mornings. The apartments are near the English Marina and tamarind restraraunt.It's very easy to get to town or Nyali from there. The host is amazing and an experienced entrepreneur.He was supportive from the time we arrived at the airport until our departure. He recommended nice places to visit and told us how to navigate the city. The apartments are high quality(the wooden doors are tops) ,very spacious and beautifully designed. I really loved the balconies, and the sliding windows from living room and the bedrooms. I could watch the sea from my bathtub.

Very spacious, comfortable and clean, airconditioned apartment in an ideal location for trips to the any of the beaches, the resorts, attractions or the fort/town. We were looking for somewhere central for train station, airport and trips out and this spot was ideal. As well as being conviently located it was secure and well staffed. Breakfast (or any meal) can be provided by the on-site cook at whatever time suits your schedule. Rather than use über cars (which are plentiful and cheap) for our daily adventures the owner, KD, provided a car and driver at a very reasonable rate so that we could travel as and when we wished. Both the driver and KD had some great recommendations for restaurants, resorts, beaches, activities...we had a great time. We were also loaned a couple of friendly dogs, Bobby and Chloe, for beach walks at low tide just outside the apartment. The facilities and entertainment of English Point Hotel are 600m up the road ($2 via über). We went for the larger 3 bedroom apartment, all ensuite with modern appliances. The communal area also had a full kitchen, dining area, TV lounge, air conditioning and a w/c. I do not hesitate to recommend.

We had a fantastic time staying at english point residence. KD is a great host. He has a wonderful team of staff who are at hand all the time. The views from the apartment are breathtaking. I would not hesitate in staying here again.

Not a single thing. We loved everything!

English Point Residence is just wow! The rating they have (9.4) made complete sense as soon as we walked in our apartment. Super clean, big rooms and spaces, beautiful ocean views, pool on the property....I mean this is the perfect place for your well deserved getaway. The beach is few minutes away and it is private. Its location makes it convenient to activities and other attractions in Mombasa. The rooms are modern and clean, our kids enjoyed too. The staff at this property were very hospitable and there for every need of ours. They all go above and beyond to make your stay extra comfortable. They even cleaned our dishes! First time to experience this on all our travels. Not forgetting the owner was very friendly, very involved & welcoming. We appreciate the role he played to make our stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Mombasa.

Given the heat experienced by early morning, a couple of additional fans or even a ceiling fan in the lounge would have been useful. It would have been uncomfortable if I was staying in during the day, but as I was out during the day it was no issue.

It was a very friendly welcome from everyone on the property. The apartment had everything I required and was modernly decorated. Rooms were well maintained, and the internet connection was good. There is a nice pool, but I didn't have time to use it. Bobby the dog was exceptionally welcoming.

A huge apartment with a great ocean and Mombasa view. Ideal location for us in a quiet and safe place. The Chef James served delicious Swahili breakfast. The host found time for us to share interesting stories and helped us organizing our visit in Mombasa. All this made our stay unique experience. I fully recommend it to anyone who is visiting Kenya.

The place had beautiful views,very clean apartment and spacious, the staff were very friendly and the owner was lovely we felt completely at home and we will definitely go back. The customer service in this place is exceptional and hard to find in many places. We enjoyed food from chef James as it was very nicely presented, delicious and always on time. My family also loved Bobby, very lovely clever dog, he took us to the beach and back.. I would highly recommend this place..

We had a hiccup on check in as the bed numbers did not match what we booked but we were pleased that staff worked with us to find a good solution by opening a 3rd room. A good solution is all we ask for when things go wrong..so big thanks English Point!! The free breakfast was not great..a pottle of yogurt,a banana and toast with jam. As there was a toaster in apartment we would have preferred to have bread to make hot toast ourselves. Location is away from old Town and also swimming beaches and shops and restaurants. A chef was available for meals but was quite expensive. However transport is cheap and staff were helpful in arranging rides for us. For us the staff were at times overly attentive to the point of being a little intrusive eg letting themselves into our apartment and us waking to find them in our room..

Fantastic ocean views with cooling breeze and lovely balcony sitting area. Very friendly staff who were always willing to help. Modern spacious apartment. Air con in bedrooms which could be used in evening and nighttime. Nice pool.

The only negative thing I can say is that I don't think any other hotel/apartment I ever stay in will be quite as good as this one. The bar is too high now :)

This has got to be the best stay I have ever stayed in, and I travel a LOT! Easily the most beautiful, luxurious flat I could ever have hoped for. When I first walked in I was blown away by the views from the hotel to the Indian ocean. The windows are gigantic, and there is a large balcony to take in the view from too - honestly I spent so much more time inside the flat than I expected to because it was just so spectacular. The flat is HUGE and airy, beautiful and clean with modern fittings. I also have to mention chef James' scrumptious cooking - we had almost every single meal inside instead of going out all the time, because we couldn't get enough of his food! And the hosting is not like anything I ever experienced in another hotel. It honestly felt like I was visiting long-lost family instead of staying at a hotel, such was the warmth and hospitality. The owner is so welcoming and kind, and made sure every need and desire was attended to and more. I want to book another trip to Mombasa just so I can stay here again!
