Wished I could have stayed longer

My first visit to Nairobi for almost 20 years. Quick and efficient check in, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with AC. Restaurant excellent for breakfast and dinner. The purpose of my visit was to conduct a training course, I booked one of the hotels training rooms for 6 people. On the day in question everything was up and running, power supply, projector and stationery provided. Snacks and drinks during the day and an excellent lunch. Our clients were very pleased with the training and this reflects great credit on the hotel. Unfortunately due to time constraints I was unable to use the leisure facilities. An excellent hotel

we didnt like some of the rooms that are very dark and outside the charming areas. no sushi as advertized.

we loved the gardens and the little bit outdated british charm, we preferred the rooms in the main houses. nice pool, gym and many magical small areas with fire places and so on. our first room was smaller than advertized with a very bad view. we had to insist to visit a couple of other rooms until we found one that corresponded to what we were expecting, but then, we were very happy. somewhat rustique style probably not everybodies taste. a lot of issues with magnetic door cards.

Hotel restaurants are mediocre. Same specials every day, very meat oriented and very uninspiring.

Hotel has the old fashioned charm and beautiful grounds. My room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was very nice.

No lifts and you might get lost in the maze of passageways and staircases especially if you are staying on the upper floors and returning late nights. Food and drinks slightly more expensive compared to other hotels in the area. Might not be the ideal hotel for a one or two night business trip.

A beautiful colonial feel hotel with established gardens and fantastic pool area. Well located, secure and quiet. Every small detail taken care of. Rooms are smaller than most but tastefully decorated. Very comfortable beds. Bathrooms are immaculate with all the amenities you require. The staff are amazing.

Not to put one off but... the key card system needs updating - the slightest brush with a smart phone will wipe it. We had ours reprogrammed about 3 times a day!

Feels like you are staying in an oasis in the middle of Nairobi. Amazing, welcoming staff who were so helpful. Great breakfast in the morning and a beautiful room looking out over the front garden. Will definitely return on my next trip to Kenya.

Room a little dated and a mirror in the bedroom for makeup would have been nice.

Breakfast was a good mix of buffet and cooking station. Staff were very friendly and also professional. The ambience was of an old colonial building that was cherished and loved by the locals and visitors alike. Good security measures in place. Would definitely stay there again.

The garden and the whole setup in the area is just outstanding. Loved the freshness and greenery over there. Very quiet and easygoing. As a photographer, I would even say that the whole complex is truly photogenic.

the lady at reception claimed that our booking was just for 2 nights instead of 3. she was a bit annoying and rude.

we were at Fairview for a couple of days as part of our honeymoon. we really enjoyed all the services provided by the hotel, the breakfast, the restaurant. the hotel has an amazing colonial style and a great swimming pool to relax

The living area is a little small and confining. The sofa needs replacing due to watermark stains and all. Even though the room is non-smoking, smokers are allowed outside and the smell of smoke before entering the rooms is not welcoming.

High-security environment and great outdoor space. The garden is excellent and so is the swimming pool. A great place for relaxation and fun. I loved the wooden queen/king-size bed and the white sheets.
