How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Price is quite high but convenience to airport means you save on taxi costs so it's worth it.
I used this to overnight between flights. Very convenient being so close to the airport and shuttle worked really well. Comfortable bed and great bathroom.

Convenient to the airport and perfect for a stopover en route from London. The complimentary shuttle was great apart from very loud music at 5.30 am. Great hotel and room was clean and comfortable.

Food and drink prices are a bit expensive, but not terribly so.
Staff are exceptional. Friendly and efficient service. Bar is 24 hours and food served until very late. Perfect airport hotel experience. Wonderful shuttle service - quick and easy! Safe for female travellers who are travelling alone. Always felt safe and looked after!

Very little to comment on here. The only minor improvements I can suggest is that the music level in the rooftop pool area could be a little lower and the phone used to place orders for food etc be located away from the music which made communication quite difficult. I would suggest a phone app could be a good option to enable the menu to be browsed in several languages and orders placed directly against a room number. This could work well for room service as well as orders from the pool location.
Friendly and helpful staff, very good bedroom and bathroom with great shower. Good security and good shuttle service to the airport. Garden Restaraunt was a bonus and atmosphere in the bar area was just right, clean, tidy but friendly. The evening buffet option was a hit for me. Reception staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

The restaurant service is so terribly slow.
Very convenient, located so close to the airport with pick-up from and return to the airport included in the price. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are great. Staff are helpful and friendly.

We were a bit disappointed that the swimming pool didn't work and there was no information about it before hand. It was one of the main features why we decided to stay in this hotel, not any other close by.
The staff was very welcoming and nice, also we appreciated the airport shuttle service, which was on time and comfortable. Also the rooms were clean and had all the necessary things. Very nice place to stay specially when coming from or going to the Nairobi International airport.

Nothing to dislike, all was great.
We needed a hotel between two flights and we chose Hilton Garden Inn for the distance to the airport and the free shuttle. Our room was very nice and spacious. We loved it. The shuttle to the airport was very well organized. Most of the international flights to and from Nairobi are at 2-3 a.m. so this hotel is a great choice to stay before the flight.
