Absolute gem. Beautiful touches, perfect for intimacy, secluded, well-equipped.. Even better than how it looks in pics! Great communication with host and amazing location, 100% recommended.

There is nothing that we did not like.

Every single moment of our time in the honeymoon hut was fantastic and unforgettable. As soon as you arrive, the rest of the world fades away. The sound of the river is constant and soothing. The fireplace and jacuzzi made every night romantic and warm. We did not lack a single thing with regards to self catering. The surrounding area is amazing to walk through & the staff was very respectful, courteous and kind. As soon as we left, we started making plans to back again.

A very special place beautifully built on a cliff in a forest overlooking a bend in the river. Very tastefully designed (around a centrepiece of bed with a mirror above it), with a large balcony, it lives up to its name. Good cooking facilities (gas) and the place cools down at night. Good wifi and hot water. The owner can help with arranging taxis at a reasonable price. In December, the dirt track was in reasonable condition for a 2WD.

Prompt response and accurate directions by the host. A very well thought out and executed living space. Secluded and immersive into nature. The chef delivered on the meals in good time and very well prepared. The experience exceeds any describable expectation. Magnifique!

The Honeymoon Hut has to be one of our most favourite places we have ever stayed. The location and the accommodation itself is completely beautiful. It was so nice to relax and unwind and absorb all the wonderful nature and wildlife that surrounds the hut. We felt completely at peace there. Kevin was incredibly warm, kind and friendly - he went above and beyond to help us with the rest of our trip. Our only regret was that we didn’t book for longer but it gives us the perfect excuse to come back!

There were zero negatives about the property. once you get there the last thing you will want to do is go back into town. so bring your food and drinks with you.

The views are stunning and the surrounding property is very private yet easily walkable and enjoyable. You can hike leisurely or aggressively depending on what trail you choose. Plenty of hot water for the shower or the Jacuzzi and the mirror was crazy cool!! Kevin, the host, lives nearby and is over the top kind, generous, and knowledgeable about—everything. There were no misquotes or pests of any kind on the property. We’ll be back.

The location of the property is majestic. The cottage is clean, well equipped. The host (Kevin) is welcoming and truly the best. Caretaker Peter was very helpful with getting us checked in. Overall a must must visit place when you are in Kenya.

There is nothing I would change.

What an amazing place. The hut is completely private. It overlooks a meandering river in the middle of woodlands. The view from the huge deck is fabulous. You can spot wildlife right there. The hut itself is great too: a jacuzzi overlooking the same view. a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace and comfy bed. If you want you can have staff cook your groceries (make sure to bring those as it’s not close to any shops or restaurants) but we chose to BBQ ourselves. Owners are super helpful and friendly. A real gem and certainly one of the most unique places we have ever stayed.

One thing is buy food before you arrive once you’ve made the drive in you won’t want to leave and the motorbike riders are not always reliable or up to expectations

50% deposit required. you can pay via paypal, but for europeans this means additional fees. unfortunetly no payment via booking.com - but the owner said that booking.com wouldnt allow him, which i believe. google navigation is not working - but you will receive a detailed description by the owner.

one of the best stays we had in kenya. price for one night is worth 400-500 usd. unfortunetly it is in the middle of nowhere, which makes it not so easy to get there and explains the price. 2 more tents were build close by, by the owner, which you can book via airbnb - including outside bathtub with stunning view. the jacuzzi in our room was amazing. you can order food which will be delivered to you or bring some food which will be cooked by the stuff member for an additional small charge. only place where we wished to have a bit more time. make sure you arrive before sunset…
