Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

If you want to get to know Kenya and its people on a deeper level, this is the place to go. The warmheartness of Mwai and his wife made my stay perfect. They organize everything for you, from tranfers to trips to tourguides to food. I loved the farm and absolutely enjoyed the conversations we had.

United StatesI wasn't happy with the taxi transfer charge from the airport. I paid more for 1 hr than I did for three days of staying at Kepro. Download Bolt and book when you get to the airport - it's three times less! I also wasn't told about additional charges such as a 5 US dollar lunch, and that laundry cost 1 US dollar per piece of clothing. Food outside was just as tasty and cost 50 cents, and I could have washed my own laundry.
Mwai and his wife were lovely and welcoming. I felt at home, and they welcomed me early in the morning. The farm was lovely with lots of different types of animals. I enjoyed the area, which was quiet and serene. The breakfast was delicious, good coffee, and always a nice chat with Mwai. The room was large and spacious with a comfortable bed. Hot water with a whole basket of different toiletries. There was a nice balcony hooked into my room, which I was able to use for my yoga practice, too! The neighborhood was nice to walk around and only a 4km walk to the giraffe center. Overall, I had a lovely stay except for some additional charges that are prices made specifically for rich foreigners.

United StatesEverything was perfect.
Our Kepro Farm stay was AMAZING! After our 5 day safari and a long day driving back to Nairobi, we were warmly welcomed by Mwai and his wife Anne as soon as we arrived. Mwai gave us a tour of their beautiful farm and explained all the activities going on. Their home is wonderful and Mwai and Anne emphasized that their home was our home and made us feel so comfortable. There are only two rooms that share one bathroom. I was hesitant to share a bathroom at first but there were no conflicts with bathroom time. In fact, the other couple that stayed at the same time were lovely and I consider them friends now. Anne cooked us delicious, healthy meals (breakfast and dinner) and we enjoyed our time sharing conversation and learning more about Kenya. Mwai provided us transportation to go shopping as it was our last day in Kenya and we wanted to buy authentic hand made gifts to take home. Mwai drove us to the airport to catch a late night flight which was much appreciated. Anne went with us and assisted us going though the first security checkpoint which would have been very confusing if she wasn't with us. Overall, I consider Mwai and Anne my Kenya parents and I plan to stay at their home again next year! I highly recommend Kepro Farm to anyone who wants a true Kenya experience hosted by exceptional people.

United KingdomA bit noisy with the dogs barking at night.
Lovely warm welcome from the owners, who were charming and interesting to chat to over dinner. Very caring when 2 of us felt ill. Interesting farm setting for our children to explore and a nice change from staying in a hotel or safari lodge. Handy for visit to Giraffe Centre.

GermanyLovely little farm on the outskirts of Nairobi. The owner and his wife are great people and make you feel at home. Meals there are all homecooked with mostly ingredients from the farm. If you want you can help Melk the cows in the morning or pick up eggs from the hen’s den. We had a great game drive in Nairobi NP with the owner for a very competitive price. Much better than anything on GYG or viator so don’t look further!

United KingdomNothing. Kepro Farm is a working farm, you do not get car traffic noise, you get nature and farm animals background noises. For us it was perfect.
We were looking for decent, well located B&B where to learn a little bit about Kenyan culture and we found the most warming home away from home you could wished for. Mwai and Ann made an already great place, perfect thanks to their caring and sharing. The beds are very comfortable, the house is very clean and the meals cooked by Ann are delicious. Mwai will help with any excursion or need you might have. The farm is close to the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Karen Blixen museum and only 30-40 mins from the airport and the centre of Nairobi. Highly recommended to whomever wants to live a real Kenyan experience and get steer on how to move around the country. Mwai was our guide for some excursions and helped us organise everything we wanted to see in Kenya through his partners network. An all around unforgettable, amazing experience. Thank you Mwai and Ann.

United KingdomI think the photos on the website do not do it justice - the house was clean and comfortable, situated in a beautiful part of Nairobi just south of Karen.
I had an incredible stay with Mwai and his wife in Feb 2023. Mr. Mwai and his wife were some of the most accomodating and generous hosts I've ever experienced travelling. Mr. Mwai was able to organise trips (I only was there for three days, so went to Nairobi National park and the Ngong hills). If I was staying longer, I would have definitely done some of the longer trips he could organise, outside the city to Nakuru or Amboseli. He was able to personally show me around the national park, and he had an excellent guide who showed me the Ngong hills. The food (three hots meals a day!) was excellent and was cooked fresh. Within walking distance of the house, there was the Giraffe Centre, and the Oloolua forest for half day trips. The highlight was definitely getting to know Mr. Mwai and his wife - they are both really interesting people with great stories!

Saudi ArabiaMr. and Mrs. Mwai are delightful. These wonderful, genuine, warm people are the highlight of Kepro Farm. We felt that we were given an authentic introduction to Kenya through the conversation and kindness that they provided. At Kepro Farm you get a Homestay experience - the facilities are unsophisticated (ie, shared bathroom, a creaky bed, and the dogs bark excitedly at times during the night), but our stay was so positive, rich and fulfilling that things barely rate a mention. The home is spotless, the food generous and delicious, and the experiences magical. Thank you for our time with you - it was unforgettable and will be treasured for years to come.

United KingdomThe only negative is that I was woken up a few times in the night by the dogs outside.
I really enjoyed my stay at Kepro Farm. Ann was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and went out of her way to make sure I had what I needed. The outside verandah area is quiet and very pleasant to sit in after the hectic nature of the CBD. The property is incredibly clean and has everything you need. Communication is excellent.

SwedenMy stay at Kepro farm was above all expectations. A beautiful green place a little bit outside the city, with lots of different animals, plants and trees. I spent quite a bit of time with the cows and will miss them very much. I felt very taken care of. Mr Mwai organized all the trips activities I wanted to do so well and his wife Ann made wonderful food. I really enjoyed our conversations. I wish I would’ve stayed longer. I hope to come back soon!

The location was safe, and close to the Giraffe Centre and Elephant Sanctuary. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. The bathroom was clean and had hot water. I loved all the animals on the farm, especially the cute German Shepherd puppies. I would highly recommend Kepro Farm. You're getting a local, homestay experience. AustriaMwai and his wife are excellent hosts. We stayed at this cosy farm on our arrival day. It's a green oasis on the outskirts of this bustling city and a very convenient location for doing shopping or sightseeing in Karen. Mwai also runs a lot of tours to the surroundings, which we did not use since we had our own car. Dinner and breakfast at the farm was fabulous. Would definitely stay there again.

United KingdomThe weather was quite cool while there as it was Kenyan winter. Hard to do anything about that but perhaps a small heater in the room for a few hours would help.
We really received such a warm welcome. Mr and Mrs Mwai could not have been nicer or more welcoming. We were served nutritious and tasty Kenyan food. Our son, a fussy eater usually, thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Mwais delicious food. Mr Mwai has a great knowledge of history, culture and politics. He is obviously a very respected elder in the area and is fascinating to listen to. If you want a great introduction to Kenya and its people, look no further. Thank you for your great welcome.

ItalyIt's really hard because we felt great, I'd say only that I would have preferred to have an estimation of all the costs before arriving (pre- ckeck-in fee above all)
We felt like being part of their family. Mwai and his wife Anne were amazing since the first moment. We've met some of their friends and we had a tour of the farm where they have animals and vegetables. The food was authentic and most of it came from their land! We also had a daily tour in Nairobi and Mwai taught us many things about Kenya and its culture. Highly recommended for people who want a true Kenyan experience 😊
