No direct access to the beach. Food was always cold Not many options at the buffet Restaurant staff were great, but some seemed upset when extra services were requested. Room was not cleaned instead was told that room attendant was too busy since other guests were checking in and out. Bar options were not great especially for all inclusive. They only offered allsopps beer which is not the best

The room was great. Excellent wifi.

The beach is a “working” beach not a relaxing sunbathing one. If you want beach bars and sunbeds there are better places the stay. The food was quite basic and the same everyday, rice, potatoes, fish, meat, fruit. But what they did cook was very nice. It would have been good to have signs saying what the dishes were rather than having the chef show you each one everytime, was a bit awkward. I wouldnt bother doing all inclusive as theres nicer places to eat out and the tours usually have lunch included etc. As the hotel is brand new it lacks character or decoration. Everything is just white & feels a bit clinical. There’s also no aircon in the restaurant so gets very hot & uncomfortable during meal times. The rooms were very comfortable and pretty but the doors arent secure. I had another guest walk into my room using her key despite my door being locked and the cleaner managed to get into my room even though id locked the door and left the keys in the lock. Also the curtains are white and the external walkway lights are on all night so its quite bright in the rooms to sleep. The showers were cold but its so hot you dont mind too much and Watamu has regular power cuts. The hotel on average 5 power cuts a day. But they usually fixed them within the hour. Theres stairs everywhere so im not sure it would be a great choice for disabled people.

The staff were fantastic. So friendly and ready to help with anything, they couldnt do enough for you. The property itself is quite pretty & is located near some shopping streets.
