Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

PolandWe had a weird situation with ordering breakfast. We were told it would cost 900 KSH and then, when we wanted to pay, it turned out that it was actually 6 EUR or 1000 KSH (due to different exchange rates). It wouldn't be a problem if we were told that it's 6 EUR from the very beginning. It's still a small sum but communication can be improved. Also, we were promised a welcome coconut that we never got :(
The staff was super friendly, especially the manager. He even came on his day off to show us around. The room was quite spacious with a large balcony and nice sofas outside. Also, the location is great! Even though the way to the beach is littered and rather stinky, once you get to the beach (and it's literally 2 minutes of walk), it's really nice. And there are some really good restaurants on the beach! We felt safe in the neighborhood, even when getting back to the hotel after sunset.

CanadaThey advertised beachfront, but it was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. They took a cash only payment,
I liked the decorations and the architecture/design of the place. I really enjoyed the pool. Location was walking distance to the beach, not quite beachfront, and close to the main shopping street. They had some friendly dogs. They allowed a late check-out and for me to use the pool later in the afternoon prior to needing to catch my flight. They welcomed me with a nice coconut.

Canadathere was no actual gym, even though it was listed/in photos. the room has just a fan, so it did get a bit hot. the kitchen was not very clean when we arrived.. maybe it was rarely used? it does not have beachfront but it is close to the public beach.
It was nice to have an outdoor kitchen and family room area. Close to beach and stuff (resto, grocery..) Really nice trees surrounding. good pool. very helpful staff. Bui helped organize our transport, which was great!

FranceThe pool is super dirty with kind of sea weeds inside because of the lack of cleaning... it is really a pity that it is not well maintained. Coffee in the morning was bad as well and expensive. It is very noisy (crows, music, Mosques) but unfortunately not up to the hotel to do something about it

GermanyWatamu has several mosques and before(!) dawn there is a kind of competition of their Minaret's sound systems ... plus, instead of synchronizing - so after several minutes the yodeling would be over - they claim the land (where calls for Allah are being heard) one after the other. I wonder why Kenyas tourism authority doesn't do something against this annoying and chasing away of, e.g., central European tourists and negative about the hotel, well, a little bit on the pricey side / they charged ~8 USD more then confirmed by booking.com
